I was talking about this last night with my son. If i were take a guess and Kane is interested in breaking the all time points record it wouldn't shock me to see him return summer of 25 once we have started to turn the corner towards contention.

Really hope Kane gets injured on his first shift and has to miss the rest of the season.

Kane probably could have helped the Hawks if he told KD a month ago that he would only accept a trade to the Rangers, but told everyone else he was undecided if he would waive his NMC or that he would waive the NMC if the right situation came along.

I am kind of surprised that the pick would not automatically change to a first if Kane resigned with the Rangers.

But I am not too upset. I wish him well. He was great to watch for 14 years. I think KD got what he could given the circumstances.

He is? So far all he has shown is he can build a terrible team. Trading a guy far below his value is not doing a great job. As of right now, we have no idea if he is even any good at drafting. 2 of his 3 first round choices last year were reaches.

The Yotes got almost as good of return for being a broker.
