Simply the questions i asked pregame.

He was good for two periods, but it was clear the fort was getting kicked in in the 3rd. I still haven't watched. I'm sure it was brutal.

Sabres desperately need another top 4 Dman. They really need to explore that in the off-season. Even when Johnson signs they still need to get atleast 3 to 5 D in there system be it by draft or using some of the on hand assets. Yes goalie is a big ? but are Defense is really bad.

You expect every young player to play as though they are at the peak of their career...which is usually achieved 3 - 5 years in.
Can't wait to watch Johnsons 1st game...why isnt he Bobby Orr yet...trade him.

He will improve, and he will end up being a good defenseman, but how good is very much TBD.

The idea that they can't or don't need to add another quality defenseman due to him is rubbish.

I thought Stillman looked okay in his first game with us. Fancy stats were decent and I appreciate the physicality he brings. Hopefully he doesn't lose that like Boosh and Sammy have this year.

Patience is needed, but fairly or unfairly, expectations are raised when the player is signed to a 7 year $30M extension after he's only played 54 NHL games.

So far, his on ice results are that of a 3rd pairing defender.

There's a very long way to go, but Sabres management should not handcuff themselves in terms of making a quality defense addition due to Samuelsson's contract.

Summary: Stop (frank)ing around the periphery with Stillman like moves and go after a true top 4 or even top 2 qualify defenseman.

what are we learning about the sabres? They are a very weak team emotionally and a team that is unwilling to put in a solid effort on a game to game basis.... This team is going nowhere people... they have peaked and are headed back down the mountain...

Bruins had 65% Scoring Chances with him on the ice.
That is not sustainable.

He is another Risto...hits that take him out of the play. Fun to watch from a physicality point, but defensively a mess.

Boss will LOVE him.

I don't think the idea of his growth prevents the Sabres from trying to improve the defense with a top 4.
