This isn't the year to do that. There was a fantastic article written recently about all of the contenders and what they did on the way up. None of them made swings before it was time. We should really stop using plastic for things unless it is a necessary product (which, of course, it is in any number of applications). The entire municipal recycling industry is a feel good nothing. There is no recycling plastic. It eventually all becomes garbage in the ocean, landfill, or, even worse, burnt.

And just anecdotally since we switched to reusable grocery bags I don't see disgusting platics bags blowing all over the streets like I used to every single day.

As much as I love the plastic debate...time to move on
