This is all it is. I want Chychrun, I'm not cool with trading the equivalent of 3 1sts for the guy, and if that's what they want then good for them, let someone else give that up. I expect to be more active in the trade market next year once they have Dahlin and Power under contract and know what the future looks like. I think it's just a year early for the big move and Adams knows that.

It's not as exciting but it's probably better overall. Get a guy in this draft, develop your prospects, add smart pieces, and next year let's look for the next Meier and Chychrun.

The leafs get Luke schenn. They essentially have a half of a new team playing together

You have to wonder/have concern in the back of your head will Adams have the guts to make these trades when it comes time to be a Stanley Cup contender. Not saying trades have to be done now nor should Adams pay these absurd prices but I do believe at some point to win the cup you are going to have to make trades to go for it.

Its going to be an interesting off season for Buffalo that is for sure.

Had a .947 save percentage this past week. As bad as the Sabres are in scoring chances against Anaheim is on an entirely different level of bad. I'm all aboard the Gibson train. Get him and let him cook, let Levi marinate in the AHL until he's ready to step in.

Only reason I don't think it happens is leaving the door open for Levi.

I'm fine with a rental if it's cheap. If we're giving up a 3rd to make the playoffs this year I am good with that. It's going up to the 1st territory that I am not willing to spend for a rental. Anything up there needs to be a long term piece.

I don't think you get him for a 3rd but also Schenn just went for that so I am not going to act like I know what anyone goes for anymore. Feel like it is all over the place this year. The east is insane right now.

You either make it deep and then you don't care about those picks or you lose in the first round and it's not his problem to worry about it. Toronto may be the biggest victim of this playoff format and Dubas as well.
