Yup, my source said 70% chance nothing happens
Adams loves how the team likes each other and gets along. He went on the Florida trip to just watch the team on and off the ice - Sabretooth9
Chemistry and he doesn't want to mess with it, what's that tell you. In there eyes this is the " learning process". |

Yeah for awhile now. I have been saying Adams wanted to keep the band together without breaking it up.
Aka don’t trade away from the active roster |

Maybe Adams will try for Brock McGinn...at least the kid hits |
|
|
|
Adams has to see how Stillman gels with the rest of the team before making another move.
Thats gonna take at least 6 months. |

Poile going out while setting the Preds up for the future.
I assume Barrie will be flipped. - jochfr
Barrie would seem like a logical Sabres target with only having one more year left on his deal, but what the hell do I know? |

When you look at the guys the Leafs added.... looks like Dubas gave a giant middle finger to the largest analytics department in the NHL. Grit all over the place. - lacaprup
Tampa adding Jeannot, Leafs trying to counter. Both trying to get “tougher” for the first round meeting. |

The Kings were an ORG loaded with prospects. They didn't wait for all of them to develop before doing anything.
>>> Rob Blake has already signed/traded for Phillip Danault & Kevin Fiala in last 2 years. If he also acquires a top-pairing defenseman in Jakob Chychrun, he deserves a big respect. Another proof how you can make your team much better in like two, three years when you're a good GM.

Can't screw up the Vibes, especially on Defense. I mean it is a solid aspect of the Team. |

It only took Botts a year to assess the talent.
Adams gets another year. |

Pretty easy to see the commonality in many of these trades.
Their obvious lack of prospect depth that was supposedly not a big deal may be showing itself to actually be a very big problem when it comes to making trades.
That is what happens when a position is strongly ignored at the draft. |

Not at you, but for th group in general-
What’s worse?
A) building a group of young talent who love each other and then trading a few of them in the future which causes a team mental breakdown.
B) trading a few of them every once in a while so that no one gets too comfortable and they get used to the reality of pro hockey in that people get moved all the time.

When he says he going to build it the "right" way I read 7/8 defenseman at the deadline and nothing else. Comrie and UPL next season. Am I wrong? - lacaprup

I wonder what the Kings think about the Sabres so-called building things the right way, as they close in on acquiring Chychrun...? |

Come on silly its better to have good vibes in the locker room than make the playoffs. |

I imagine with a great deal of laughter. If building the right way is drafting all F's, calling on all the available D, then learning D are more expensive to land.
Tough lessons as a new GM. Let too many of our D go for nothing or close to nothing.

JB hoarded D, KA is hoarding F's. Why can't we ever strike a balance?

Right, because their owner didn't hire a bunch of nimrods and/or failed rink managers |
