driving to the airport earlier today and had the nhl radio on
one guy was talking about his time with phil espo on the radio back in the day
he said that Phil would tell stories about how talking with some gm's for trades was really a waste of time because they talk and talk and follow up with 10 more phone calls and nothing happens. Then Phil would talk about gm's like brian burke where a trade could happen with a 10 minute phone call
my guess is Adams is not like Burke was - homiedclown

Burke the harvard law graduate traded for mayday 3 or 4 times in the nhl.

Kevin weeks did tweet out a lot of goalie names including upl. As a former goalie I’m sure he wants to stir up the goalie market

You realize it's not easy adding a top 20ish or 16 type goalie.
The good ones aren't available, the medium good ones dont want to play in buffalo. Maybe that changed, but you understand why a goalie wouldnt like our system or young defenseman.

Levi is the most unique prospect in years. Cant remember anyone that appears ready for nhl stardom in years. Maybe miller?

UPL could turn out to be a very good goalie. as it stands He’s one of the worst goalies in the NHL. He needs a solid two years of development. I’d rather he not get that on the NHL club competing for a playoff spot.

No, no I'm looking for someone who is playing for Boston. Someone whom Kevyn Adams failed to properly evaluate and properly pay. The position remains a blackhole on the team with no prospects of that changing until 3 seasons from now. That's as bad a job as anyone could possibly do on the single most important position in the sport.
