Further to @PierreVLeBrun report, the #hurricanes send a third-round pick to Arizona for Shayne Gostisbehere.

I think there is a chance, but we don't know what Adams is willing to do.

Arizona certainly has to move him at the deadline, they've held him out for too long at this point.

I think if he is still sniffing around he is ok with making a deal that does not involve the top 4 prospects. New Jersey didn't move theirs for Meier - I don't see why we would need to move any of them in this trade. There was a rumor from a questionable source that said AZ would be ok with a second conditional first rounder - I'd be ok with that.

Hronek for a 1st and 2nd and the NYI 1st could be 15th ish.

If the ask for Chychrun was something like a 1st, 2nd and prospect then just add a prospect.

Just seems bizarre.

I think the market is still consistent with what it has been. People will throw around draft picks like drunken sailors but good young prospects aren't going anywhere. I suspect that will be a trend going forward in the NHL. Teams don't care about resources that can't help them for another 4+ years.

Coyotes got a 2nd and a 7th from Philly to take Ghost and then just moved him for a 3rd without any retention

That is how you use the cap when you're going to be a crap team

CHICK 100% sense for Buffalo, so, of course it won't happen. I understand Adams wants to build internally but (a) we have a ton of stud forward prospects and not that many spots on the roster and (b) have literally no stud D prospects and only a couple of moderate ones (Johnson being one)
