Oh my the travesty, the Sabres traded a player not ranked in their top 20 prospects for a 6/7 dman who has grit, and just so happened to play adequately in Florida under a similar scheme. Whatever will we do.

Poltapov wasn't the best player on the board at the time. Leinonen was a huge leap by 1-2 rounds early. Rosen also wasn't the best player on the board by consensus.

Prolly a lot more than Bryson ever could, though. And is Stillman a panzy? He's got more hits and fights than I've had hot lunches. And predicting who is on the ice at any time, as if the other team won't know there's a fighter on our bench, is just....lazy.

Can we define adequately, everyone says that but I’ve seen nothing to back that up.

Florida moved him for Peanuts very quickly.

Chicago has him for a year and then moved him.

Vancouver overpaid for him when he was awful in Chicago and within a year move him for what people here are calling a “not very good prospect”

For as much as everyone says well we moved bloom for some reason.

3 teams have now moved Stillman shortly after acquiring him.

FL cap dumped what’s his name* on Chicago, Stillman was the sweetener...
He was just a raw kid prone to mistakes, but he had his moments. Haven’t seen him at all since he went to the hawks.

Didn’t KA say something something about not all about stats, but how guys mesh with/add to the team? Idk, sounds like code for he wants someone who will “go get that bastard verhaygee!” Stillman definitely will stand up for his team mates.

Choosing kids with desirable assets in the middle rounds could boom or bust. An overwhelming majority of people on this very board heavily support this tactic of drafting, and the Sabres do too.

If that 4th round forward has a chance to be a top 6 impact player, ya (frank)in draft him even when in the present you don't have room for him.
