once botts left the draft table, he lodged his head firmly up his own ass. - TheSabresTaco
Botts did everything he said he was going to do.
Wasn't that your point with Adams? |

If you believe sources the plan was interrupted by ownership who wanted to win now.
I didn’t like Botterill FWIW. |

I am asking you a question and you keep deflecting.
and Botts did state his plan. He also preached patience and development.\
So Botts also did everything he said he was gonna do too
So did Murry for that matter.

I’ve been wanting Gibson I feel like for 1-2 years now lol
If we miss out on chicken man and Gibson or Demko
All is forgiven by Adams by hockeybuzz. (Which I am actually not mad at him) - Sabretooth9
Gibson has a full no-trade and I believe he's been unwilling to waive. He's not coming to Buffalo, plus in 2 years Levi is our future. |

My problem isn't that they didn't land Chychrun. There are players of his caliber available every year in some way, shape or form. My problem is that Adams has not shown a single indicator that he has the intestinal fortitude to make a move like that. He's been given an extension for doing nothing other than letting things play out. Why should he change?
All the "vibes" this season is the off-ice equivalent of admiring your pass. Eventually, it gets you in trouble. - buffalofan19
Not in a defense of him, but the “plan” was to go after those quality of players in a year or two, imo. The team has forced the issue, and really the rest of the East has with the arms race. As Buf fans, obviously the poop product for years has us wanting to get moving faster, but was chatting with a Minny fan yesterday over some beers and the outside perception is KA is doing it right holding off this year or a couple even.
Idk which is actually right and there’s probably multiple ways to skin the cat so to speak. Just saying. |

I really wanted Chychrun but am not that mad we didn't trade for him, because
1. OTT's 1st in 2023 will be higher than ours, so maybe we couldn't compete with that anyway
2. 2023 draft is very deep and KA loves his picks
3. with the jack, Risto and sam trades I give KA a little rope cuz he killed all of those
4. I'll wait to tomorrow at 4:30 to see what happens - I reserve the right to change my mind

You have to wonder if the guys in the locker room see what is going down and get deflated because Adams doesn't help.
Marty Biron - Bringing in Bob Corkum deflated us.
Adams is just hanging them out to dry. |

cinncy and rochester went from bottom dwellers to decent teams
terry rushed the rebuild and picked ralph
botts was a puppet that controlled the draft |

You do realize Ottawa can pass the Sabres very easily. They are 2 points behind the Sabres and are starting to get healthy and just added a top pair d-man without touching their roster. |

Or it could be a rallying point for the leaders. Didn’t need external help. Every situation in life in all aspects is about the individual response. If the team hangs their head and quits, they’re mentally soft and probably not fit for the playoffs (this year). Somehow, I think Tuch, KO, and the other leaders don’t have that mindset tho. |

Good Post!! With that I will say, he could have helped his team the last couple days and that only cost picks next year. |
