Edit I was wrong about the number.
Of the $67.2M cap hit the Arizona Coyotes now have on the roster, 57.6% of that is allocated to pseudo-retirements, cap retention via trade, and contract dumps.
To repeat, that is 57.6%. |

JFC, you people have been dragging Adams through the mud for days now, relentlessly. Jumping to ridiculous and childish conclusions, moaning about "wasted years" from players, wanting to crap in Adams' garage, getting frickin hysterical on here...and it's still a whole day before the trade deadline ends! What the ever-loving frack is wrong here, you goddang maroons! At least wait till the dust clears and the tdl is over before bagging on the gm for not getting player x (whose mere presence alone would guarantee a trip to the playoffs, as if).
Even if Gerbe is wrong and we don't make any more moves, how can we be so irrationally gloomy and whiny while our team is high-scoring, young, in the playoff chase, and finally on a sensible long-term path? I've been biting my tongue for days now but seriously, wtf? - LandlordTom
I am kinda with you but this is the year he should be looking for help, I understand he last 5-7 years not doing anything, hell there was no reason to we were out of out by December but this year we do have a great offense we are young with a long term plan and we are in the thick of a playoff race. What we don't have is a NHL caliber goalie and better D-men. Even if Levi signed right after the year is over he is going to need at least a year in the AHL if not 2.
Adams should be looking for a goalie and a top 4 d and if he does nothing people should be upset with him. Now is the time to get this team some help. Who cares if we use a firts or 2nd round pick or 2.

They'll stay somewhere in the West. The NHL finally got the alignment it wanted with all teams in the Eastern time zone in the Eastern Conference, and all times outside of it in the West. They're not about to (frank) that up.

42% if the yotes cap is tied up in money they don’t actually have to pay out.
How do the owners continue to approve this is beyond me.
Probably because they can just launder money to Arizona. - ImThatGuy
I'm of the opinion at this point that they keep AZ around just for cap dumps and things of that nature. It's so ridiculous. |

Where would Buffalo's cap be if they sent Ben Bishop to Arizona? If you're not going to do anything interesting on the ice with the trade deadline, you might as well do something interesting off of it. |
