Gotta love the Leafs... .going all in on everything, except goaltending.

I do not think this ends up well for them, unless maybe getting out of the first round is their Stanley Cup...

They're (frank)ed, and it's gonna be glorious, as it has been every year.

Leaf fans are like Yankee fans; fully sold on a bill of goods and completely expect year over year improvement despite a mountain of evidence that dictates that result is entirely unlikely to happen. And then they crumple in despair when the inevitable happens, and the rest of us laugh uncontrollably. Yet, the Leafs, unlike the Yankees, have a demonstrated ability to choke the instant it becomes time to sack up. Must be something in the water?

Other than the bonehead move in our own zone that cost us a goal, the Habs are controlling the play so far.

Well, aside from the fact that the Yankees have actually something since the advent of color TV

It's (frank)ing weird seeing replies to posts saying "yesterday at 10:50pm" when it's only 11:50pm here. It's not even the next day; I'm just 1 hour ahead of most of you.

That's (frank)ed. Well, when you (frank)ers "spring ahead" in a few weeks, we'll be on the same time. Antigua doesn't do daylight savings time, which is cool for my sleep schedule but sucks balls for my work schedule.

Here it's simply a byproduct of being close to the equator so whether it's January or July, nightfall starts early and it's pitch black here by 6:30-7pm no matter what. I've heard from relatives that the US is considering doing away with DST, which would be a minor win for me; I just need Canada and the UK to do the same and I'm a happy boy.

That’s good to hear, certainly a lot nicer place to be than in the snow.

Doing good too, no complaints.

Good point about being further South ... I've been to the Caribbean many times and I've noticed the difference in sunset times compared to Canada.

Canada would probably harmonize with the US if they eliminated DST ... it would avoid a lot of problems for commercial transactions.

I grew up a Habs fan; not sure there's an equivalence to be drawn here.

My wife misses the snow; I told her she only feels that way because she never had to shovel it.

If you come back, try to notice the constellations. They'e all rotated counter-clockwise. We're used to seeing constellations like Orion more or less "upright" in the sky, but down here, they're almost sideways. The face of the moon we get is different too. I'm sure had I thought about it ahead of time, it would have been expected, but I didn't, and now I'm perpetually surprised (even 5 years later).

That's what I say to my family in AZ.

"We miss a white Christmas"

Great comes with shoveling it from November to March too!
