I'll repeat what I wrote last night about Gurianov.

Marty gave Gurianov a lot of ice time, I guess he wanted to know what kind of player he has. Very small sample so far but I do like his size, speed and hussle, quite an upgrade from Dindonov at first glance.

We'll see in coming games if he can sustain that pace, the Stars didn't let him go for no reason.

Conclusion: Considering we got him for basically nothing, he's a risk worth taking (beau risque).

Pat, you know I'm not a fan of our "grosse vache" Armia but I really liked what I saw from Gurianov last night, he left a good impression on the coach I'm sure.

If he plays every game like he did last night then HuGo should be arrested for larceny. However, I still reserve judgment on him until I see more and especially if he shows up every game.

Like WaterBoy said, he has a good shot but he lacks precision with it (he did last night at least).

oh it's all good, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I haven't seen him play yet but I eventually will.

what I'm curious about is what they do after this season, even if he makes a really good impression during these 20 games that is still a very small sample size to match the 2.9M qualifying offer to retain his rights (although it says on capfriendly that "a two-way qualifying offer is permitted since Gurianov has not met both the games played and waivers requirements", so I'm not sure if this makes it less risky/more enticing for the habs to do so...).

Nobody wanted to listen to me yesterday about Gurianov!! 😉😝

I think he’s going to be a good addition and will get more production moving forward! I like the addition and management’s approach to trade for guys like this! 👍🏻
