Lou trades for Horvat and kicks off a crazy few weeks of trades. It's made for a lot of fun. - Aaron_85
Been waiting for this for years.

I got to be honest I figured this team was dead in the water after the Barzal injury. I give these guys tons of credit for battling every night and getting points. Would you include Dobson in a trade for Chychrun? - Vukota
Does Arizona even want players back
I do not know enough about Dobson to answer your question but I do think the islanders could really benefit from Chychrun. Like most teams could if I'm being honest. |

Team has battled Vukota. I would not give up Dobson for Chychrun.

Chychrun's peak (or what is has been, so far) is effectively more or less what Dobson is trending towards. Given Chychrun's injury history and inconsistencies, I think trading Dobson would possibly be, at best, a lateral move and, at worst, a step backwards if Chychrun were to struggle under more pressure and/or continue to suffer from injury problems. |

I don't think it'd be a smart move

Pretty much agree with this. I wouldn't mind Ghost from Arizona if he could be had cheap |

If that were the case I understand both the reason to trade Dobson AND to keep him in this hypothetical situation.
I just want Chychrun to be traded at this point so we can stop hearing about it. Two weeks of trade related reasons of being a healthy scratch. Come on. Arizona is a mess.

My guess is the Hurricanes grab him. God forbid a team outside of the metro got him |

Dobson has been awful, no doubt. That said he JUST turned 23 a little over a month ago. He is only in his second full season of NHL play in a new(ish) system. Despite this, he is going to surpass last years 13 goal total and end up close to 50 pts for a second straight year. I'd prefer we find another veteran defenseman to pair with him since being matched up with Romanov, who is going through the same growing pains, and Aho, who sucks, probably isn't helping. |

Given the fact that nobody else has really been strongly rumored to be in on him, I wouldn't be surprised if Lou is doing that.
I have a feeling he'd cost somewhere in the neighborhood of Bolduc and and 2nd or something along those lines. |

I’m sure he feels the same way.
The whole bit about Arizona not wanting to take any salary back seems to be a sticking point, though. |

Clearly. It hurt CBJ in trying to deal Gavrikov to Boston. They learned their lesson with LA. Arizona seems to not have though. |

At some point you have to think Chychrun just refuses to show up and gets suspended. From the outside looking in he seems to have been very patient and respectful during this process. No leaks about him whining or trying to pressure the team into moving faster than they want. But it's been two seasons now and he's going to lose his patience eventually. |

Pretty much how it went down with tarasenko. What did he request a trade three years ago? |

I thought it was just last year. The year prior is when he had that shoulder injury and played terribly and ultimately had surgery, if I remember correctly |

It was at least two because he had a good season with them then this season where he got traded. Nick Bjugstad? Thoughts on what it would take? Shoot for a team of giants. |
