I feel like Yokes have been piling up draft picks since Keith Tkachuk was traded. Maybe this summer will finally be the summer.

* Ghost spent much of his last two seasons in Philly injured and extremely inconsistent. I personally had an NHL pro scout tell me that he thought Ghost might be out of the NHL entirely within a few years.

* Ghost was waived. He cleared with no takers.

* Ghost was offered around the NHL shortly after the 2020-21 season. No offers.

* Ghost was exposed to the Expansion Draft. Seattle passed and took Carsen Twarynski instead.

* Then -- and only then -- did the Flyers pay the extortion Arizona wanted to take on his contract. Even as a cap floor team, they didn't especially want Shayne.

Thankfully for Shayne -- whom I like as both a player and a person -- he revived his career in Arizona and proved a lot of doubters who thought he was in freefall in his career stock to be wrong. But let's not pretend that every avenue wasn't exhausted first before the Flyers paid the premium to unload his contract.

Then a short time later gave up how many assets to acquire the same player basically in DeAngelo. They should've kept Gostisbehere. Incompetence at it's finest.

This! The question is does it help frost develop or does it cast doubt in his head?
As much as I hate to see him rag on frost I think the results have spoken for themselves.
The next question is when does he compliment the kid and leave him alone?

There seems to this belief that Tortorella has developed these players. He really hasn't. Injuries to vets, who let's not kid ourselves would be playing while the kids would be playing less. Forced Tortorella to give some young players ice time. Which is all the really needed with good linemates.

Did anyone actually watch Ghost against the Flyers this season?? You all call that a reclamation? Are you kidding me. He sucks just as bad in his own end there as he did here! We all rip DeAngelo for his defensive play and rightly so, but come on people! This ex-girlfriend thing that people on this forum is just over the top. Ghost is a HORRIBLE defenseman. Yes he puts up some numbers, and so does DeAngelo BTW, but lets see him do it on a real team in the playoffs when it matters. I'll bet you anything Ghost will be a healthy scratch by the 2nd round!

Nah! Chuck will just trade them away for a 29 year old 6/7 defensemen or 4th line grinder. That or he'll blow the pick with a slug that will never play in the NHL.

Actually, I thought that you went on a Brayden Schenn rant only a short time ago. Perhaps when the Blues traded O'Reilly? I dunno, but it seems you did rail against the Flyers trading Brayden Schenn just last week. Perhaps I'm mistaken, and to be honest I don't care enough to go back and try to look it up. I mean, your avatar is Schenn brother driven, so there is that. Those Schenn trades happened quite awhile ago while the Ghost trade is still a fresher wound although it's really getting hard to keep track of all of Chuckles' colossal blunders at this point.

Feanor for example loves to use numbers to support his narrative. The guy will bring up something stupid like me supporting Luke Schenn over Radko Gudas 8 or 9 years ago but somehow leading the mark all summer to get Provorov out of here so Sanheim can take his place somehow sounds smart.

And Luke Schenn is only viewed as this terrible defenseman because he didn’t workout in Philadelphia. Hughes is a legitimate top pair defenseman. Schenn did win two cups with Tampa. Schenn was taken 5th overall in his draft class. I mean, it’s not like Schenn offers nothing. After Philly he played for a really bad Arizona team.

I didn’t bring up Luke Schenn. Feanor did, which is why I said what I said. It’s literally in the post. 😂

Since it looks like we're stuck with him, there are two basic lessons I wish Fletcher would learn. One, it's okay to back out on a potential trade for a player that you're targeting if the bidding gets too high. Let the other team win a bid for a mediocre player for change. Secondly, don't make a bad deal to move a player just so you can get more cap space to make another bad deal. Can anyone forward this to Chuck?

Was just watching the pregame show on TNT and Bizz thinks Carolina hasn't done enough. He thinks they should go after Hayes to solidify their second line center position! Bizz is NOT a bright guy, but I hope the Carolina GM listens to him!

Coyotes aren't going anywhere. They are Bettman's equivalent to "my best friend is a homeless, trans, birth-giver of color. We need more fine people like this in the league". To have them move and succeed would be another example of the white, male-dominated hierarchy oppressing the deserving, downtrodden masses.
