Believe me I'm not concerned about Rocky & Co. losing money.
But people with money never like losing any. And they definitely don't like to be the butt of jokes and scorn. - RickJ
And if they win the Bedard lottery pick they won't feel anything, because the fans will come out to see him.
I got Bulls tickets anytime i wanted and i remember going to the 1st game one year and watched Derrick Rose play and i leaned over to my son and said you know how we can come to pretty much any game we want and how it's getting harder and harder to go to the Blackhawks game, he said yea, i said this kid is so good the samething is going to happen to the Bulls tickets. |

Looks like Kane is still in a Blackhawk uniform; floating around and getting knocked off of the puck easily. I don't see how much use he'll be in a tight checking playoff series.
He's still got plenty of skill, though. - Dieselhead
Yeah. Because he was never good in the playoffs for the Hawks. red font. |

You know that surgery Tyler Johnson had must of really helped he looks good this year, he'll be a nice trade acquisition for some team next year. |

Do you think he has the same speed? Looks like he's lost 1/2 a step. |

If he has it’s probably counterbalanced by his guile. |

The fact they won 21 already should get LR some Adams considerations. I am not kidding, either - Elbows15
i agree. LR has been a great add. I think he will be here for many years. I look forward to what he can do with a team with some talent. |

I don't disagree but the tearing down is the easy part. He is going to need to find the right vets to help shepherd the next group along. That won't be easy. Look at how long the Sabres and Oilers have been wandering in the wilderness because they took forever to fin the right mix. - Elbows15
John Madden comes to mind.

Do they track Wins Above Replacement (WAR) for NHL coaches? Because I think LR has to be up there? |

It's the route i would go, but i don't remember a team accumulating 1st and 2nd round picks like this ever. Although I'm old and my memory isn't what it used to be. - BetweenTheDots
Lottery tickets. thats how i look at it. Difference with this is you have intelligence to see what you can pick. Hopefully we have some damn good scouts and can hit on at least 3 of the fuk ive lost count pics we have this year. This could be the start of the next dynasty right friken here! |

A trade acquisition next season. Probably……after all who is left to trade…..don’t say ……S Jones. BUT if S Jones let us include his brother tossed in and I even give them a mid round choice to take Caleb too. You know that the cap floor is an issue perhaps if S Jones is moved. Murphy and S Jones might have to be retained however if for no other reason than they are the senior experienced veterans needed to still model the lovely Indian crest
Speaking about return players, Domie imminent track “home?” He liked the Chicago experience but would be dare re-sign without a trade clause and possibly a bonus if he accepts a trade to a team not on his list? Hey it is your life Mr Domi and you should have enough leverage to dictate some terminology especially if a team friendly contract (in terms of salary/term).
Looking at Dallas They have gratuitously been recipient of the development of young forwards. And a couple other young guys who are more checkers than scorers were first round choices. So Domi regular season is crowded out although Seguin they say has not found a suitable linematte to bring out his best. That situation may actually be more about the value and production of some youngsters means more to team success than switching one of those kids role with Seguin
But I digress. Domi imminent return appears to be a good bet |

They got a running start last year. Started the draft with zero first round picks, ended up with 3, and with other picks jumped about 20 spots to 5th best prospects in the NHL. |

Player development is going to be key. No rushing and putting our guys in a place to fail. Let them grow and build to a place were they can be successful. I think that will be KD's strength as he watched SB rush guys that needed more time. |

It's nice that they will have trouble reaching the salary cap floor, no need to rush 1 prospect. Sign vets to 1 year deals, and keep chugging along.

I don't think S Jones or Murphy will be going anywhere for a few years. I'm sure any FA will try to get the most they can with term, but with the way the salary cap is there will be FAs out there that KD will be able to sign.
