I wonder if Kane strongly considers coming back to Chicago if Bedard is drafted? Kane seems to enjoy mentoring and learning from young players. Couldn’t ask for a better option.

I think it is a terrible option. The only reason IMO he would come back to Chicago would be to try and surpass Mikita's records. Otherwise it is cups or bust

He was already able to give the warm-up puck to his son, so they are already in New York. I am sure they are not staying at The Holiday Inn express.

If both sides wanted Kane to be a Hawk past this year, they would have done an extension. If we are to assume Kane wanted to be here, that means the Hawks didn't want him. It is theoretically possible that Kane agreed to be traded and to sign in the summer in order to help the rebuild. If that were the case he wouldn't wait until the last minute and accept only one team.

Was watching the Rangers feed last night. During pre-game skate Kane went over to the glass and waved at Amanda and little Patrick who was wearing a Rangers jersey.

So Kane returns either as a team ambassador or one day contract so that he retired as a Blackhawk. I think out of sentimentalism a 40 year old Kane would be appealing
