Any guesses on the JVR trade parameters? I am going to guess he gets traded to Vegas with Flyers eating half salary for a 2024 4th rdr. Another terrific hockey move brought to you by the trio of Fletcher/Scott/Barber.

The fo didn’t balked at hexy timeline they were pissed he was shutting them and alumni out. Plain and simple. Hexy didn’t share his ball and the spoiled rich kids threw a hissy fit and told mom. And hexy got grounded
- SMS4016

You're incorrect. The main gripe at the press conference when they fired Hexy was that it was taking too long. Shutting out the alumni was part of it but it was secondary.

Hexy also had no clue about valuable qualities of bottom six forwards, knowing when a coach has lost the room and player development. Hexy is a great asst gm but a terrible gm

None of that is accurate.

My guess is that Vegas is done with the acquisition of Quick. They've already acquired two forwards in Barbashev and Blueger.

I would not be shocked if JVR stays on the team past the deadline.

Sens Rags game is a good game. Got it on route 66. Rags leading 1-0 with 1 min left on 5 min major.

I've been saying for good portion of time that this is a 5-10 year process knowing full well that it's going to be closer to the latter.

What are they trying to do? They don’t even know. They changed their mind over the last month or so. Next year, when they’re flirting with a playoff spot do you have faith they’ll continue on this path to prioritize getting younger at the deadline or will they give up picks/prospects to have a shot because “you just need to get in”?

The shortened Scott/Barber situation. This is painful to say the least.

There is a difference between knowing what they want to do and knowing how to do it. It is the latter that they don't know. No, I don't have faith. Hence my projection of up to a decade.

Two teams in on JVR…via tsn trade board…Vegas and WPG. I hear Vegas has this reclamation project in an injured player. Some guy named Nolan Patrick.

Okay, let's explore it. What is your statement of " Hexy also had no clue about valuable qualities of bottom six forwards" based on?

It's just a lot easier to tear down and accumulate assets than it is to actually string together the sequence of strong decisions needed to build something really good.

We've seen a lot of bad GMs excel at the initial demolition phase. Then after a few questionable decisions their rebuilds go haywire. Homer was the epitome of this... did so much good in the beginning getting the team younger and better. Then he got impatient, started making big mistakes, and it was cascading mayhem thereafter.

I suspect Hexy was in for a similar fate if he wasn't fired, albeit in a more methodical and less spectacular fashion. JVR was a big mistake and a sign of things to come.

Brassard playing his 1,000th game. Just scored to give OTT a 2-1 lead over the Rags.

I feel this. Look at the roster. Look at the organizational moves from the last decade and especially this last year. None of that is on Torts. I get that everyone questions the what ifs and has doubts about moving forward from here. It’s just that 99.9% of my doubts lie squarely on the GM and overall organizational decisions not coaching. Torts is a good coach.

The question wasn't asked to give you an opportunity to change my opinion. The question was asked to start a process to show why I think you're wrong with a simple exploration of your statements.
