None of that is accurate. - MJL
Pittsburgh forum members disagree about the bottom 6 issues at least.. Tons of griping about his inability to build their bottom 6. |

Gotta love Torts with his comments about all the Rags fans in the building last night. He might not be the right coach for a team that should be tanking, but it's refreshing to listen to an unfiltered coach! |

Glad Center Ice is doing a preview week as I am watching the Sens spank the Rangers and it is refreshing to see “real” hockey! |

You're right. There's no way that it could possibly be related to the exact same issue the other poster claimed was happening here. |

No it couldn't be. How could discussing Hextall's performance and what he did in his time as the Flyers GM be related to anything he has done as the Pens GM. Completely different situation and factors. |

He should be going all in with the Pens cause their aging stars are running out of time. And yet, he won't mortgage the future to make it happen. With the moves that the other eastern powerhouses have made the Pens are cooked and I think that is similar to what happened in Philly. Hexy needs to be in charge of a total rebuild. Perhaps that is his cup of tea, but that wasn't going to happen in Philly and it certainly isn't where the Pens organization is currently. |

No. Two completely different situations. Hextall was fully committed to a draft and develop approach in Philly.

I would not be shocked if JVR stays on the team past the deadline. - Trox88
I hear you. I find it hard to believe that people think an aging JVR would get a lot of interest, and even if so, that we'd get a decent return for him.

Two teams in on JVR…via tsn trade board…Vegas and WPG. I hear Vegas has this reclamation project in an injured player. Some guy named Nolan Patrick. - landros 2
Lol I've never denied that I wanted Patrick that year, but what a darn shame about how it turned out.

Okay, let's explore it. What is your statement of " Hexy also had no clue about valuable qualities of bottom six forwards" based on? - MJL
He hasn’t shown that quality with the pens at all, although admittedly if it was good to nail down young, cheap balanced bottom six guys that play defense and chip in offensively everyone would do it. It’s tough without anyone good on an ELC.
But all of his bottom six moves with the pens have been horrific. |
