I thought the commissioner said no one tanks in the NHL!

What does he call what Chicago is doing, their top goal scorers have 14 goals each?

If Fletcher trades anyone for draft picks, to save time he should just tell the other team where to send those picks. Because you know sure-as-poop he ain't using them

I keep hearing Fletcher being given a pass because he did not know he would be without Atkinson and Couturier. I think he was the only one in Philly who did not know this.

Don't be surprised if nothing happens by the deadline. I think CF painted himself into a corner and can"t unload JVR or Braun without getting fleeced.

If I'm not mistaken, Chicago's loaded up for next year's draft too. Gonna be wonderful watching them rebuild at lightspeed compared to the Flyers.

This certainly seems to be the case for Chuck Fletcher. He's run this team into the ground, yet Dave Scott likes the way he's built this organization. He's never seen the front office working this well together. Must be a joy to work with.

There are always exceptions to every rule. There are a lot of people that are wondering how Fletcher still has a job.

An interesting conversation is how many teams made moves and gave up high level assets that really shouldn't have.

Well I don't know the answer to that without researching, but to my eye test I would say not many had to give up the farm as blackmail.

Not an original point here but it is valid nonetheless. CF says that they are always open to hearing ideas from other teams. Well Chuck be proactive pick up the phone and sell YOUR idea. Target other teams upcoming players with an offer you can"t refuse.
I can see other teams wanting Sanheim. Laughton, Provy, Seeler, Provy, Farabee.
CF couldn't work with that list and get a good first and a good young player?
This team is an mess.

I expect sometime today it will happen, maybe something like...

With the exception of Seeler, if any of those players would be traded, it most likely would happen in the off season.

Which job would that be?

President of Hockey Operations
General Manager
Alternate Governor

Comcast basically washed it's hands of the hockey side of the business and as long as he get's along with Scott on the business side, they don't care if the Flyers ever win another game. There's plenty of wiggle room with all those titles to play a shell game with Fletcher if they decide that they need to pretend to do something.

Just read an article on Barstool Sports with the heading saying “Credit the Flyers for allowing the Rangers to play a home game in Philly”. Unbelievable video of the crowd after the Rangers scored. It was a home game for the Rags ! Article goes on to crush Comcast for not only the state of the team but the blackout of the last game. Check it out.

I know it's an expectation but a GM would have to be really stupid to make that deal. It's Fletcher we're talking about.

I'm more worried about what would happen AFTER if any of those deals took place in the offseason. Which long term crap contract is going to be given out that becomes an anchor in 1 year?

Take it for what it's worth but ASF believes that Fletcher will be fired after the season.

I would like to hear both Dave Scott's and Fletcher's comments on Tortorella saying the organization is unprofessionally run in a recent interview.

You would hope this is what he’s doing….why there’s been 50 odd transaction in the last 10 days or so and all the Flyers have done is move out a kid they couldn’t develop for nothing. I do wonder why Fletcher is so happy all the time. Probably because he knows he’s here for the long haul as long as Scott is still around.
Yup Fletch acting like a seller….I’m not sure why anyone believes a word out of this guys yap.
