Torts sure doesn't shy away from making Chuck look like an absolute fool at every opportunity.
- Tomahawk
On a positive spin, Torts could go down as the best coach hire in a LONG time then. People wanted outside the club...here ya go.

"The plan" has been a farce. This was supposed to be an evaluation year, yet Sanheim was extended early in the season. Of course, gets scratched by the HC later. I just cannot believe Fletcher has lasted this long. I'm not pro Torts. For me, the only chance of a possible turn around is to remove the GM, then address the HC later. Alas, here we are it is March and the GM is still here. Sigh. - Trox88
Chuck shouldn’t have been given last offseason. The fact he’s still here at the deadline is hilarious. Comcast and the country club just want a yes man and he’s absolutely killing it in that role. |

Shock and awww! Is that what you're going with? A GM got fired after 5 years.

Could very well be a coordinated effort to appease the fanbase. That's really a toxic comment that normally wouldn't be tolerated from a coach.

Now, according to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Flyers are reportedly seeking a third-round pick in return for him, with the Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, and Winnipeg Jets among the interested teams.
Are you kidding me? They couldn't trade him before today when only seeking a 3rd? |

Forget about all the good stuff and retrospect with the current day Senators...and that's the Flyers. When Ottawa was considered one of the worst run sports franchises EVER with Melnyk.
FYI: Melnyk passed away in March 2022...take a peak when Ottawa started to turn the corner.
Update: Another neat tidbit...do you remember the days when Chicago was one of the worst run franchises then they finally started to build up and won the cup...Bill Wirtz passed away in 2007. - Glak18
Melnyk and Wirtz were operating their teams under (arbitrary) budget constraints.
Every Flyers GM since Clarke has had a blank check to work with, basically every advantage.
Not to mention 5 seasons ago the Sens had already drafted Brady, Chabot, and Batherson. Who in the pipeline can compare to those? Cutter maybe... but probably not.

If there are truly 4 teams competing, then you work that situation.

he is a fraud and covering his own ass. all about actions. - hello it's me 2050
I don’t think Torts needs to cover his ass…he’s been here for 10 minutes. This s—-show is not on him. He is like a blunt instrument. Everyone knew what they were getting. I like the honestly to certain questions but also realize he’s also an employee that has to tow the company line as well. |

Sadly it’s his only redeeming quality as a coach anymore. Unfortunately making Fletcher look like a fool is seriously low hanging fruit. |

You're not helping the case...the Flyers could possibly become one of the worst run ever. Not because they are losing, but because they think they are winning. Flyers #5.

Scott is ultimately in charge. When stating that the organization is unprofessionally run. That reflects on Scott.

Vegas has a few 2nd rounders...rather have one of them. - Glak18
Vegas traded their 2nd this year. They do have a 2nd next year and the year after, but I would rather have the 2023 3rd this year, because that would give the Flyers 3 3rd round picks this year, which they could package to move up into the 2nd if they target a player there. |

honestly I think Torts is re-shaping the company line as much as he can without opening stating Fletcher is incompetent. |

Unfortunately, I believe you are correct. I thought for sure Fletcher would be gone long before the deadline. The stench of him still beimg here makes whatever happens today minor. Comcast and Dave Scott own this mess. Everyone else involved has a lesser role in this dumpster fire. |
