CF is a moron we’re basically out of trading partners cause he’s too incompetent to make a deal look what happened with the chycrun deal this franchise is doomed for decades more
- 2Real

No deal is better than a Chuck deal sadly. Let’s not jinx it.

#NHLBruins have placed Taylor Hall on long-term injured reserve (LTIR)

This move creates $6M in LTIR cap space.

They can still make deals

I’d just like to say, this isn’t about Chuck.

I pray we all know that. If he didn’t have clear support of those around him, those with an influential voice he would have been gone long ago.

This is not Fletcher trying to hang on to power, but rather the country club clinging on to the notion they know what they are doing.

It goes much deeper than Chuck Fletcher.

The Flyers are not smart enough to hire someone like Tulsky.
- MJL

It is quite amazing the some who has failed and has turned a proud franchise into a joke still has a job. They have turned their own fan base against them. Your a major market team and your more of a joke than a team that plays its game on a college campus called the MULLET arena.

I know Dave Scott might not be a hockey guy but don't you want to build a good team and win. He has to have an ego and want to win a cup. I mean don't you want to be the guy that got the Flyers to a cup and won. What better way to create your own history.

I guess I just don't get it.

Doesn’t matter to Comcast one bit as long as people keep showing up and for some stupid reason the people keep showing up.

Nothing Comcast has done shows they care one bit about the on ice product.

- hereticpride

last night was great for attendance. even if more rangers fans!!!! a huge success in their eyes.

Nothing in that statement is a lie. If he wasn’t supported by others in the organization he would have been long gone.

Absolutely nothing has changed despite their rhetoric. Resources will be maximized this off-season same as it ever was. They are going to try like hell to simply replace what didn’t fit this season to be a bubble team next season.

Clarke is in the doghouse too. Absolutely no reason he should’ve gone to bat for this bum other than nepotism.

Clarke putting his buddies above the franchise. Shocker. 🙄

Their roster is full and they have 1 contract spot open. They would need to dump someone on the starting roster. They have 3.6 mill in cap space

For all the Flyers talk about their Analytics department, the only thing we've seen them use the department for is their age distribution chart. It's one thing to have a department, it's another to know how to use it. Chuck knows what office they are in but i still don't think he knows what they do.

Almost every move he makes is shredded by the analytics people outside the Flyers. The Risto trade, the DeAngelo trade, etc.

Chuck is a collaborative manager. All the hockey people who are in his ear deserve some responsibility. At the end of the day Chuck isn't a hockey guy and he defers to the "experts" around him. Flahr, McCauley, Briere, Brown, Lappy, AV, Kjell, Torts... they've all got their fingerprints over this mess. And yes, Clarke, Homer, Barber and Lombardi as well.

Takes a village to mess up this bad for this long.

I'd blame Ian Anderson too, but I'm not sure he actually does anything.

We disagree. He is the president/ GM. If he goes to those people (advisors) and seek their opinion, and by all accounts he does. Then that is his failure. Not the advisors.

the others he hired or kept. Again all on him. Their fingerprints are of Chucks doing.

This is Chucks creation

I’d rather he do nothing than taking back another crap contract. If he’s not fired at the end of this season, I’m done.

Gonna be rooting for the Canes in the playoffs. I’ve always been huge fan of Brindy and watching Ghost skate with the Cup would be the ultimate FU to Cuckles.

This is the only one that shocks me. Torts has been around long enough to know a mess when he sees it. They must be paying him handsomely to be their little diary writing cheerleader.

You're talking like there's some clear hierarchy where he's undeniably The Boss and holds all the power.

The people "under" him hired him. And ultimately will be the same people to fire him. Kinda complicates things.

Look at the conference. Can anyone realistically believe they will be a playoff team in the next 5 years? How about a legit contending team?
- hello it's me 2050

F%@k no. It's going to take at least 5 years to dig themselves out of the mess Fletcher left them in.

Torts knows full well that this is a mess. The issue is he is fighting for power and wants to put his stamp on the team. He is the wrong guy for that. It's like hiring Thomas Edison to add lighting to your home.

Gotta be fun to be a Bruins fan right now. Not only is the team historically good. They're on another 8-game win streak. They add a bunch of help at the deadline. Pasta's locked up. And Mr Vezina Ullmark is scoring goals.
