You're talking like there's some clear hierarchy where he's undeniably The Boss and holds all the power.

The people "under" him hired him. And ultimately will be the same people to fire him. Kinda complicates things.

Not to me. He runs this poop show. He is the boss.

Gotta be fun to be a Bruins fan right now. Not only is the team historically good. They're on another 8-game win streak. They add a bunch of help at the deadline. Pasta's locked up. And Mr Vezina Ullmark is scoring goals.
- Tomahawk

They’ve been a good team for over a decade as well, one of the best in the league if not the best if you’re looking at how the team was built. not to mention all of the other sports teams in the town the past 15 years. Talk about spoiled haha

He didn't even get to hire the coach that he wanted. The advisor group and consultants brought Torts in. And now Torts is ragdolling him on lineup decisions, making him look like a fool.

A guy fully in charge isn't in that kind of situation.

he is the one with the final decisions on trades, free agents, draft picks, and management personal.

The whole front office needs to be turned over including the advisors. I would hire Kevin Weeks just so I have a completely fresh set of eyes on this team. He seems pretty plugged into the league and where the NHL is going. Would it work. I don't know but this team needs a complete rehaul starting at the top.

It continued last night with Torts post game comments. Including again stating “we are selling’….subtle.

I don't know if that is quite accurate. My understanding is that the advisor group and consultants vetted the candidates and made a recommendation. I could be wrong though. I agree that Tortorella is attempting to take over. That does not bode well for the Flyers. Athough it can't get worse.

I do not disagree at all about turning it over 100%.

CF on the clock. You can make a case with recent trades CF should do well trading JVR, add he is waiting to max our value, he better do well or he will just CF again.

Can I ask why it doesn't bode well? How do we know he couldn't run a team? I am not saying I would want him or not but just looking for your reasoning.

Chuck will throw in a 2nd round pick, retain 50% of salary and acquire a 5th round pick for JVR and think he did well on that trade.

Tortorella is an archaic dinosaur of a coach who will try to form the roster in his archaic views.

Maybe he should worry about running an effective overtime scheme before he worries about running a franchise.

I could see that.

I was just curious since Trotz is going to run Nashville so I am curious how he will build that team.

Sure seems that way. Just the other day Chuck said its most important that the young guys get playoff lead up/playoff experience with the Phantoms and then Torts says Desnoyers is definitely staying in the lineup.

I'd blame Ian Anderson too, but I'm not sure he actually does anything.
- Tomahawk

He definitely deserves blame...Reality is, the Caps had no interest in the idea he was selling, that being he could be an analytics guru. Someone from Philadelphia gave him a heads up that Hextall was looking for a guy and his preferences for using video to capture data. Anderson went out and got the software to do it and pitched Hextall that he knew what he was doing....Here we are, a decade later and the dude has failed upward. He publicly has said that he was one of the first analytics guys in the NHL, yet he's not mentioned anywhere in the conversation when it comes to his peers....because it's not true

I wish he'd figured a way to do it without getting to overtime. That's ten extra points in the standings the tank should've avoided.

In keeping with getting 60 minutes of competitive hockey out of the team. The extra five minutes don't count.
