He's in silent tank mode. He is a genius. That is all.

While the first sentence here might have some merit, you're taking a huge leap in your next sentence.

In keeping with getting 60 minutes of competitive hockey out of the team. The extra five minutes don't count.

Maybe they slacked off for a few minutes during regulation, and he's just getting his time back.

He definitely deserves blame...Reality is, the Caps had no interest in the idea he was selling, that being he could be an analytics guru. Someone from Philadelphia gave him a heads up that Hextall was looking for a guy and his preferences for using video to capture data. Anderson went out and got the software to do it and pitched Hextall that he knew what he was doing....Here we are, a decade later and the dude has failed upward. He publicly has said that he was one of the first analytics guys in the NHL, yet he's not mentioned anywhere in the conversation when it comes to his peers....because it's not true
- Flyerfan2868

I remember reading in an interview on how he works. He basically said the GM or the coach will come to him asking about a detail about a player and he will then gather data on that. That's not what is supposed to happen. An analytics guy is supposed to gather data to show how the team can improve, what players to target etc. To improve or correct what the front office or the coach is doing. To gain an edge. There is no qualified analytics department that would support the way that Tortorella has the team play.

Just looking at Cap Friendly for next year. Not looking particularly good for the orange and black.

There is no qualified analytics team that would have assembled the roster period.

That also. Which leaves two options. Fletcher and hockey ops ignore the analytics department or that it's not very good.

not ignoring anything. He makes the final call does he not on what I mentioned? yes or no?

You think Chuck really wants to trade Hayes? Torts refuses to play Hayes in his intended role and now Chuck's in the pressers talking about trading his own biggest UFA acquisition. Doesn't seem like a guy with the final word on everything.

Doesn’t matter to Comcast one bit as long as people keep showing up and for some stupid reason the people keep showing up.

Nothing Comcast has done shows they care one bit about the on ice product.

For those that don’t get to go to games as much. It’s nice when the tickets are dirt cheap

She means well but she really doesn’t need to cover for these bums. Franchise has been run 6ft into the ground. Topped with concrete. Everyone sees it.

I got offered free tix twenty minutes ago and turned them down. I'm not wasting my time and money to park for this crap show, even if getting in the door is free.

And I maybe go 2-3 times total any season.

Tortorella is an archaic dinosaur of a coach who will try to form the roster in his archaic views.
- MJL

Cates is his new Ryan Callahan. Laughts is his Nick Foligno. Hart's his Hanky. So now he just needs a Girardi and Staal, a supporting cast of plugs and he'll have his ideal team.

He's leaning heavily towards Ristolainen in the Staal role.

The guy was managing meals and hotel bookings for the Caps... took a night course in "predictive analytics"... and the Flyers hired him on the spot.

Just like Briere taking his night management course at Wharton lol.

Low bar.

The reality is the Fletcher has assembled a roster of players and prospects that nobody wants. Between Hextall and Fletcher this team is a dumpster fire. But it is actually worse than that, the real problem is ownership. They have been running this team into mediocrity since they bought in. We would have been here earlier had in not been for Snider. I see no way out of this in the next decade unless the team is sold to someone that cares.

Understand what you are saying. But when tickets are usually north of 60 dollars for the nosebleed section…..when they ar 15 a pop it’s easy to give your kids the experience of seeing a game in person. When I did it it was the 6-7 season. Don’t live in the area, but would take them if I could to a game knowing it’s about the same price as eating at Applebees
