Because for whatever reason the forwards all finally decided to commit to back checking hard all the time.

Then Rielly gets healthy and they just quit. Insane. Keep that up all the time and the Leafs would be a juggernaut.

Its weird but that stretch of hockey is what i think of when i think about when they've played the best this season. They were dominant defensively in that stretch and forgot that lined up with Rielly being out.
