You guys are really twitchy in here today. I'm usually the bumhole.
Last night's game sucked, the team played like poop, our stars played like poop, Sammy was bad and the Justin Orr Holl showcase was a bust.
But it's ONE.GAME.FELLAS.
Leafs will be fine. They just need a minute to get used to the smell of new players in the room. Tonights game will be 100% different. 7- 3 Leafs.
As for Dubas and the deadline, he has to move 2 Dmen and probably Kerfoot. He's got a couple picks to play with too. That gives him maybe $5M to get a #4RHD or #2LW.
Does he really have to do anything? No, not really. This team should be good enough if the (frank)ing Divas get off their asses. If they lose again and have a 1st round exit, Dubas should get an extension and gut some main pieces of this team during the summer. It's the team or coach, not the GM as far as I'm concerned.
(And I am not a Dubas fan)

There is something to your take.
But there is also this GM's unshakeable double-triple-quadruple-quintuple down on his core. I agree if they fail again...it's the core.
But it's Kyle who's bet his career on this core, and also his responsibility for sticking with it. |

Holl had troubles last night but i feel bad for him, to be honest. I dont know why
He's clearly put in a role for failure which isn't really fair to him. Plus, every time leafs are getting crushed, all anyone can say is "well at least (frank)in hit someone then!" Holl has the first physical game of his career and we still get to laugh because he got dummied by RNH.
Play like that on a 3rd pair role where he belongs and he'd be a great guy to have.
He's also not getting moved so anyone harping on that needs to let it go. |

If Edm can get hot here and win their division that could set up a Vegas/kings 1st round matchup. It would be pretty funny if quick plays and shuts the kings down. |

this is really the first time I have ever felt this way, but why hang onto any 1sts at this point?
trade the 2023/24 picks, and if you get someone with a little term left (Hello Wilson/Saros) with those picks you have better value.
i dont see the Leafs ever being closer than now, and not again for a long time - senstroll
Yeah, use at least 1 of those picks. |

Leafs trade for Wilson yet?
I was offline for a couple mins, might have missed it - senstroll
Yes. And then moved him to LTIR with Muzz. Use the benefit on Friday. |

Bertuzzi-Coyle-Hall is a good top line on a handful of teams.

With how stacked the east is, is this really the closest theyve been?
The year to have done all this was the season we choked against Montreal. Although i cant remember if there were restrictions on trades.
Anywho, dont trade any 1st for an ufa, player has to have term and be youngish |

The year JT gets his head blown off?
Still should have made a run but without JT. When their line-up wasn't nearly as deep?
Tough sell to beat Tampa in that situation. |

I want to see Eric Gustafsson given a shot to run the powerplay. Rielly, imo, is not getting it done.
If Gustafsson is good and Rielly continues to falter I could see Keefe going 11f, 7d in the playoffs. |

Yes, the year to have gone on in with moving out so many picks was that same year.
Oh and JT wasnt injured at the deadline.
But as i said i cant remember if there were trade restrictions
If the leafs had met tampa in the finals, it would have been a great win for the organization even if the leafs had lost |

I know nothing about this new guy but I took a quick look at his historical stats. Sounds like he's an offense first guy but his stats don't scream PP QB. Lots of 5v5 offense this year.
But I agree ..Rielly is a puzzle to me. Still has those risk taking gaffes but really doesn't/hasn't given us any offensive wow moments either. Need him to be more of a difference maker. |

He's been running the Caps PP this year. John Carlson hurt, I think. |

I can't think of a single team* where Coyle would be 1C/2C.
* I don't consider ARZ a team. |

I'm pretty sure I read that due to health concerns Chicago was not going to be trading him. - Monkeypunk
Wouldn't that mean they would trade him to Arizona? |
