Fox Trouba playing 28 minutes a night is obviously dumb as a long-term strategy, but it's not the plan long term as we all know. The plan here is clearly short term pain for long term gain. Sacrificing 4-8 points or whatever in the standings during this stretch is clearly worth a better shot at the cup.

The kid line can combine the cycle game and the pretty goals!! Best of both worlds.

I never understood how this gave a team any sort of advantage.... Especially when the player is not playing. If a guy was playing hurt and the team didn't want anyone to know that would be one thing.

Well the Pens coaching tried to get Trouba suspended by fudging the truth last year in the playoffs. Tried to play it off like Sid had a concussion and in reality it was his shoulder. Personally think any team that does that should be fined.

Its only a few games. Guys are in great shape. are they tired now, probably, but I think they will be fine after Boston. Get a bunch of days to rest
