Yeah ... tough schedule ahead against very good teams.
Time to evaluate the kids and test them in all situations to see what we've got.
Showcasing veterans is no longer necessary ... test the kids on the PP instead of the guys we're trying to get rid of. |

Yep. Iād be sitting Drouin, Hoffman et al. And just play the kids and try to get ahead of the rebuild and development. More reps for the kids, and sit the lazy (frank)s that bring the team down. |

In a way, all those injuries are a blessing, get to evaluate the kids, let them play more and in roles / minutes they likely would not get otherwise.
I mean, would RHP even be in MTL if not for injuries?
That woudla sucked... he has shown something, not sure if it is sustainable over the long run, but fun to watch now.

Not really surprised they didn't do anything, they had nothing to sell.
I'm just disappointed they couldn't get anything for Monahan. Can't blame other teams for being cautious, but I can blame the Canadiens for insisting on playing him injured for whatever reason in December.
Next thing in line now is whether Sean Farrell signs and joins the team before this season is over. |

I think that you can trade an injuried player but the other team must know about it. I guess thats how you could otherwise break a rule.
Oh and the nhl is looking more and more into what gms are doing around the TDL on that matter : https://www.dailyfaceoff....players-ahead-of-playoffs |
