This is based on Quinn continuing his quality play:
Skinner - Tage - Quinn
Mittelstadt - Cozens - Tuch
Greenway - Krebs - Olofsson
Girgensons - Jost - Okposo
Peterka, Hinostroza rotate in for Kyle when he needs a night off. - kingcong39
Lovin this lineup. Would even possibly switch josh and krebs sometimes. Pretty sure on olos last goal bananza his center was jost….? |

Then Buffalo brings in two players that hit

The Sabres were outhit 28-17 yesterday and Stillman got KO’d in a fight.
I’m confused how they won 🤪

Think 1 player some people are sleeping on is Rousek. Kid took a bit with the injuries but is turning into a solid hockey player. He's a real pest below the dots and very good on the boards and his shot is pretty good. - Buff36
Girgs, Jost , Rousek would be a great 4th line.
Pretty sure girgs is a lock for a contract extension here. Wow I cant believe he is only 29!! Feels like he is a 20 year vet

Clown take it easy. Why do you got to attack everyone that does not agree with you? You become miserable or maybe always were.
You used to attack Gerbe.

When he’s on the 3rd line. That is a perfect spot for him

Maybe the 4th would be better then. |

I just cant see how they would bench a streaky goal scorer on a 13 game goalless streak that has 23 goal on the season.
Gotta play the odds. When he gets one to go in the rest will come. There will be a 10 game stretch in these 20 games that we will be happy he is on the team.
Has to be vinny and or peterka. Like them both but there the obvious choice - ZiggyBuff
That's fine, I would much rather have JJ find his game then worry about Olofsson. But he makes almost 5m so we pray he gets hot again for his 10gm stretch |

When he's on, the 2nd line is perfect for him. When he's off, the AHL is perfect for him. Feels like there's no in between with him.

Greenway and Krebs are going to be a major pain in the ass for the opposition.
They're going to annoy the poop out of them.
Add Skinner and what he does on the top line, and you now have a trio of pests on the Sabres.
Nice to see. |

The best part of kids day were the caricatures of the players. Some of the kids have some really excellent talent.

It is rather stunning how the Bruins are running away with the season, 15 points up on their nearest team and on pace for 136 points.
3rd in GF, 1st in GA by a mile, 1st in GDiff by 5 miles.

The only hockey fighter I understand is Rob Ray. Get the (frank)ing jersey off. Hockey fights seem 85% who is better at holding a jersey 10% reach 5% fighting skill.
If you get the other guys jersey held you win, generally. Stillman is too small to win hockey fights. As soon as someone grabs his jersey, chances are they're bigger than Stillman, and it's time to clobber him.
Enter Greenway. Now, Stillman can choose his battles wiser. - lacaprup
Surely you must have heard of the Rob Ray rule?
All players have fighting tie downs/ straps to keep their jerseys on while fighting.
It's now a rule.....

Craig Anderson's picture was well done. Krebs' is hilarious because the kid couldn't draw his hair, so he basically gave him an afro. |

What's funny is Ray won more fight AFTER the implementation of the Rob Ray Rule, it forced him to actually learn how to fight.

Of course. Everyone knows the tiedown straps. i'm just looking at this as someone who played goalie and only played until I was 15. I never had a hockey fight, but I boxed for years. So many hockey fights have guys with size mismatches. If the bigger guy can grab your jersey....it's lights out.
Hell, i bet a ton of hockey fighters are great boxers, but you rarely see it in hockey fights. Stillman looked like he had no plan after he picked the fight. Razor had a plan, and since he was undersized compared to everyone except Tie Domi, his plan was needed. If Keith Premeau grabs Razor's jersey arm...it's not good.
Brad May seemed to have skills IIRC. |

i think the best part about hockey fights is that there is an odd satisfaction of a bout afterwards. win or lose. ive gotten my ass kicked a few times. by one of my now best friends lol

Beyond next season, the combination of Olofsson and Mittelstadt could be between a $9M to $10M total cap hit.
Is anybody comfortable paying 2/3 of the third line that much, and especially with term as well?
Would that be the best way to spend cap dollars? |

The worst thing about it is the long term ramifications that can and do happen as a result of fighting. |
