im not selling on tampa nor should anyone else. they're on a skid and most teams hit one, if not all.

back reading, I think people have to separate the Booming hits vs the separation from puck hits. Not all hits are created equal.

I don't need and don't want head hunters out there. what this team needs is for everyone to buy in to playing a hard heavy game. that doesn't mean throwing your body around like a missile. What they need is to all be able to get into a scrum, not get pushed around and they all should be willing to drop the mitts if it comes to it. Even if you get punched in the face and lose the fight you gain the respect of your teammates/opponents and chicks dig brusies,

All this team needs is to back check and fore-check like there hair is on fire. Finishing each and every check you can should be demanded by meatballs. I can show you plenty of goals this year that were direct results of a fore-checker pressuring a Dman with the puck and that Dman feels rushed because he knew he was about to be hit, leading to a turnover and goal.

I never played anything more then High School hockey but all my years even the best players on our teams were taught to finish every check.

1-2 Grit players don't move the needle having the entire team buy into a heavy style of game with move the needle a lot more.

Comes down to their competition level and how they're dominating average players. Which is no strike against them.

Yeah he's doing pretty well. He'll be mid-late first because of his lack of 200'. The skill is undeniable though. Unless the Sabres are picking like top 12, he'd be a great bet.

I like Ohgren more than Lek as a NHL prospect even tho I thought Lek would outscore him outside of the NHL. Still time. But there's no way I'd believe that Ostlund doesn't have the highest ceiling. He'll be there for another two seasons, hope to see him in the SHL next year or at least get some minutes.

I mentioned this name before ... Charlie kinsman- another local junior Sabres. I bet he gets drafted (later) ,hopefully by the Sabres as well..... committed to Vermont

This line of conversation is so odd. Being hard to play against is the only way you win. That doesn't mean you need to be physical. There's many ways to be difficult to play against. Any one particular stat like 'hits' is not going to tell you one way or the other.

Stillman and Greenway are great guys to add to this particular team because we're missing elements they bring. For other teams, they may be redundant or unhelpful.

Being pro or against hits is odd.
