I miss the days of Pierre et Yvon, I find they were a pretty good duo, although Marc Denis does an awesome job as well. - Pat1993
Yes ... no complaints about Pierre Houde and Marc Denis.
Classy and very competent/knowledgeable play by play TV announcers. |

yup, definitely. and I'm not sure if it's because he's gotten better over time or if I've just become used to hearing him but Félix Séguin on TVA sports doesn't annoy me as much now. I mean, I don't necessarily like him but at least now I can watch the game without being irritated the whole frickin' time.

I never subscribed to TVA Sports so I can't comment ... I listen to the English broadcast when it's not on RDS. |

according to the rumors TVA sports could be closing anyway, I'm not sure why things are so turrible financially but apparently PKP has lost around 200 million dollars so far since the channel's creation. |

Call me crazy but I always thought that two 24 hours French sports network were one too many for such a small French market. There's a limited number of subscribers and ad dollars to go around.
Old habits die hard, and for me RDS has always been THE French Sports Network ... I never had interest in anything on TVA Sports, I forgot it even existed. |

yeah I always liked RDS better, and I always thought it was silly to have the habs games French broadcasting split between 2 channels, this basically forces viewers to have 2 different subscriptions in their TV package if they want to watch all the games in French (which is the case for me, for some reason I find watching habs games in English is too weird, force of HABit I guess...).

Yep ... I decided to vote with my wallet, it seemed like a money grab to me.
Sorry fellas, I'm not playing your game ... one French sports channel is enough for me.
I also found it weird watching the games in English at first but then I also found it interesting to hear different viewpoints. I was already subscribed to TSN and SportsNet anyway because I'm a huge NFL fan and I prefer listening to the American announcers. |

Ouch! ... things went south when they traded Gaudreau and Tkatchuk, their goalie has also been awful this year.
The GM and Darryl Sutter might be on the hotseat after the season ... |

I could be wrong but Sutter looks like he might be too old-school for today's NHL (maybe too old, period... lol.)
but it could always be worse I guess, they could've hired Paul Maurice, jfc. |

Yeah, either Sutter's message is not getting through to the players anymore or they lost too many assets. Either way, it's getting more and more difficult for them to make the playoffs.
Anyway, time to hit the sack ... G'night folks!

not really, goaltending currently isn't a strength for them, Lehner has been on LTIR for quite some time (and wasn't very consistent anyways), so their duo right now is Quick and Adin Hill. - Pat1993
Logan Thompson is their number one goalie, but injuried right now. I had to look it up, but yeah, I was right on that one.
Once he is back, it will be Thompson and Hill and you wont see much of Quick. |

yeah, no one should own expressions such as "god damn" and "I guess". I work for the intellectual property office and I shall not allow it..!!
perhaps something could be done about the stupid laundry™ though. - Pat1993

forgot about Thompson, he's been on LTIR on a week-to-week basis and could still be out for a while, so they didn't really have any other options, hence the trade for Quick... and even when Thompson comes back, him and Hill both barely have any NHL experience, not the most ideal situation heading into the playoffs, even if they aren't turrible goaltenders. Quick won 2 cups and has a ton of experience, perhaps this is also something that enticed VGK to acquire him. |

oh, noice
I was wondering if you meant that it wasn't a very cool morning, people used to say "that's so gay" all the time in the 90s and early 2000s, but that is not a politically correct expression to use anymore when talking about something that is unpleasant lol.
