there's no such thing as free health care. we pay for it through our taxes. and we pay a lot. half of all our taxes go to the health care system. 50B per year in Qc only. roughly 6k per capita.
if you call that free... you're a very rich man

ugh, you're completely missing the point... of course our taxes help pay for that, doctors and nurses aren't these magical creatures that are willing to work for free. but whenever you need medical attention you don't need to wonder if you're rich enough to afford it.
anyway my point wasn't to start a debate, so interpret it as you wish.

then you can say it is universal, everybody has access to it, rich or poor, employed or unemployed, we're all covered. but it is not free.
pretty sure our americans friends in here do not pay 6k per year for their insurances.
