In the off season, AHL isn't a developmental league

I was thinking, teaching kids to eat off of the floor isn't really a sign of good parenting, playing a game that isn't on a computer is a much better sign of some decent parenting skill.

We play lots of non electronic games.

You can't avoid using electronics now a days though even for kids, they are so prevalent in every day life. You just have to control what they learn and use it for.

Trying to get them to use it for learning and education purposes and not watching f-ing morons on YouTube is hard though.

I think after last week's trades and watching yesterday a cold reality came to life that when PA said there are other ways besides the draft to build a team.

You could see that Pittsburgh mindset of JR and his boy The Chipmunk is win now. I know a lot here won't be happy with that mindset, but I would start expecting this MO instead of waiting to build through the draft and rebuild.

Not bad for a change. There is a pretty decent to good core to build on. The cap management has been the biggest issue for years now. The allocation being the biggest issue. There hasn’t nearly been close to value for what the D is paid. Overload of wingers won’t remain as is come this offseason. That will help on the surface but don’t see a clear path on how to spend it wisely. Need to see Kronek play & see how he affects the D mobility & gaa.

I like the part where the other guy talks for a minute straight and Drance completely ignores him and scrolls on his phone

It’s pretty easy to guess pencilling in most of the 2023/24 line-up.

The new system hasn’t fully taken root but going in the right direction. Players top to bottom fully buying in is paramount. High energy north south is looking very encouraging but will it be consistent from the starting gate to game 82? On that I’m not sold on that as of yet but encouraged enough to believe it’s the right approach. The PK has to be much better & that would only get as high as middle of the pack at best. That alone would garner more points. Enough? Not enough on its own.
