I am surprised that Vantel could at least distinguish a forward from a defenseman. - Reubenkincade
Don't usually pay close attention to the players that are boring.
Like Mini said it was a pretty boring game. |

I know.
It is the truth though, Abby roster is pretty boring and what I watched was nothing to get excited about.

It would be nice to see it live that's for sure.
Every time I see highlights or a shift by shift, it's a lot of Wheatcroft trying to dangle the entire team but he does engaged defensively, especially compared to his line mates. Just doesn't have the skill of Ziemmer and Heidt.
Wheatcroft is a "try guy" I like to call them. Try really hard, active all over the ice but with not a lot of results. (He does has points this season) My first "try" guy ever, will never forget him. Eric Wellwood. Kyle's brother. Played for Windsor when they came for the Mem cup in Brandon. Looked just as good as Hall and Henrique. - manvanfan
All 3 are pretty good from the games I’ve watched live this year. Wheatcroft has one hell of a snapshot and seems to read the play well. Heidt is an intelligent playmaker and fast, I think his ceiling is probably 2nd line Center in the nhl. When Regina came to PG this year the pg coach was trying to match lines… but in the 3rd when Regina was far ahead he put Heidt out head to head against Bedard and it was a good matchup. Heidt could somewhat play against him…whereas the other lines were getting walked on.
Ziemmer like someone else said was very north/south… but he’s not afraid to drive the net hard. I wouldn’t take Ziemmer any higher than 25th overall though.

Good to know though don’t believe they will be on Canucks radar as things stand now with picks. |

It’s all about teaching structure right now on the farm. The flare and creativity is already on the Canucks roster. They need the fill in guys to do all the boring but necessary game play.
So develop them in Abby and add them. It seems to be working with the call ups these days that are now under new coaching. |

I wouldn't take Heidt before 15th in this draft either though. Watching the shift by shift one of them was against Tri City. Dragecivic was out a lot against that line. Looked good. Someone who should definitely be around where Van will be picking by seasons end, barring the lotto win miracle. |

Maybe they sign your boy Lockhart, should help entertainment wise. Also, the addition of Bloom and maybe Klimovich starting to put it together might help. |

Lotto win miracle aside isn’t the plan to draft Reinbacher? I’m projecting Canucks now finishing 10th. Will he be available is the question. Maybe teams ahead value the centers and forwards more?

Yeah Abby should be better with these guys next season. Still these wingers need good centers. Not sure who Canucks could sign for that. Any guesses?
Is Bloom supposed to be a PK guy with speed and size at NHL level? |

Just a guess, but I would think the Canucks will sign another teams unsigned draft picks to fill in some holes.
In regards to Bloom, I am not sure he is nhl material, but should be a suitable player for Abbotsford, as is Lockhart, who is a centre. |

A couple centres to consider out of a pretty stacked team, the Ottawa 67s are, Logan Morrison and Cam Tolnai, who I believe are eligible free agents. |

I think the CHL is the top teen league in the world. Why so many get drafted to NHL. I am not so keen on their unsigned non drafted late bloomers.
Though, given the Post Covid world maybe things are different now? Given a chance they can succeed in Canucks system? |

I mistakenly put in Logan Thompson when I meant to say Logan Morrison, who never played in his draft season, but has been fantastic in the past 2 seasons, including last season in the Memorial Cup playoffs. |

Yeah world wide there’s a chance to find D and Centers. Load up Abby and see who rises to the occasion. It’s not as if they have a ton of prospects good enough for the AHL. |

Logan Morrison is interesting being a physical shut down right shot center.
The Canucks need to add some guys like that in Abby that can take a 4th line role. These glue guys help get wins in tough games. |

Big game tonight
4-3 Canucks.
Beauvillier, Kuzmenko, Juulsen and Garland with the goals.
Miller and Benn have a toe-to- toe battle. |

He’s a BC boy good chance he signs here. Probably can get some games in NHL. Then playoffs and seasoning in Abby.
Likely they move Myers at next TDL. Then Livingston can be cost controlled capable 3rd pair. |
