He’s a BC boy good chance he signs here. Probably can get some games in NHL. Then playoffs and seasoning in Abby.
Likely they move Myers at next TDL. Then Livingston can be cost controlled capable 3rd pair. - Quinn's Quest
Can't do that. |

Two young big 6’4 RSD fluid skating guys to sign and develop in Abby:
Jeremie Biakabutuka, Charlottetown Islanders
Colton Huard, University of New Hampshire
Then just a little seasoning needed for:
Jake Livingstone, Minnesota State University (Mankato)
Jacob Bengtsson, LD, 23 years old, 6’3″, 203 lbs - plays a tough D game can move the puck and good skater.
Then draft Reinbacher and all of a sudden the big hole RSD is no more.
Future D could be:
QH Reinbacher
Bengtsson Hronek
Rathbone Livingston

Livingstone has a shot for sure - neem55
He must realize that if he wants a shot at making it, it doesn’t get any easier than cracking the Canucks D corps . |

Sure sign the free agents. Doubt Rathbone ever makes it in the league. |

starting tonight, #Canucks play 8 games in 13 nights including two sets of back to backs with a bunch of travel. Wish Quinn Hughes well
Sure hope that they don't continue to deploy the D as they have been. Doesn't help the tank at all playing Hughes that much and others need reps for next season.
Would rather lose playing Brisebois and Wolanin 20 minutes a night then win with Hughes playing 25 plus. |

Got to be Nighty's brother or cousin cause no one else can so easily fix Van's D. |

Just a guess, but I would think the Canucks will sign another teams unsigned draft picks to fill in some holes.
In regards to Bloom, I am not sure he is nhl material, but should be a suitable player for Abbotsford, as is Lockhart, who is a centre. - Reubenkincade
Reports are Lockhart is a long shot but he looked good in camp.
I would like if they could sign college free agent Jaxon Nelson, C, 22 years old, 6’4″, 220 lbs. Great net front presence. No one in system like him. Plus the obvious lack of centers. |

Whether Lockhart is a Longshot or not, Abbotsford will always need players. Sometimes you also need to develop your own minor league players as well. |

He has some skill for sure. What you seen last time he was up is pretty much how he is. Hughes and Hronek now I just don't see the need any more for him.
I think Canucks need to find better Myers and OEL and fill the bottom with Briesbois I guess they like Bear also.
One day you will see D Petey and Woo.

Anyone outside of a top 15 pick is pretty well a long shot right?
Having their own farm team though is going to give more of these long shots at a chance as well.
That is one thing some insiders have mentioned about Rutherford though, he isn't afraid to give some of these long shots time to develop in the minors. Mostly because he trades away so many draft picks but still he has found a lot of free bottom 6 players for Pitt. |

I think they also add to Abby like they have done in the past with free agent signings like Burroughs Dries Wolanen Pizzaman and then call them up.

I do realize that but it's like Nighty where you can stick in 3 players that have never played NHL games and everything is better, even if it's just a suggestion. Get rid of NHL defenders for very large question marks isn't a real solution or even a discussion that could be had for probably a good year from now if not longer. |

I am going to tell you I think you Reuby and Nightie are going to be very disappointed in the next couple of years. I don't think this management group cares about drafting.
I think if they keep winning this season you will see the first-round pick fly out the door.

That’s fine trade him and McDonough to Boston for their ‘25 1st next season lol. But no worries he doesn’t fit then trade.
I like Brisbois I don’t think he will be a regular but you never know. |
