I am going to tell you I think you Reuby and Nightie are going to be very disappointed in the next couple of years. I don't think this management group cares about drafting.
I think if they keep winning this season you will see the first-round pick fly out the door. - VANTEL
I'm 50/50 on that. They have very little cap to work with. Unless the picks are going to be for trading away bad contracts.
If they didn't want them or were not going to make them, I doubt they would be trading for them and they own 3 from other teams. It also wouldn't make sense for them to not have draft picks with their large development team.
I'd expect more American's and Swedes. Komisarek is in America east area by the sounds of it. Samuelsson over in Sweden. |

I don't think you see OEL again next year. Either LTIR or buyout. Poolman Pearson LTIR.
Myers will probably be gone. Every GM in the league know how to abuse the cap. The cap does not bother me one bit. Still |

OEL will be back. Aquilini isn’t shelling out $29MM for a player not to play. Most he has paid was around $4.5MM on a buyout I believe |

I do realize that but it's like Nighty where you can stick in 3 players that have never played NHL games and everything is better, even if it's just a suggestion. Get rid of NHL defenders for very large question marks isn't a real solution or even a discussion that could be had for probably a good year from now if not longer. - manvanfan
Stick in of course not. I said they all need seasoning in Abby. If all goes well the future D is years away. Like if they are able to draft Reinbacher he’s not ready until minimum ‘25. Did you miss that part in your rush?
Next season it’s Hronek and Bear with Myers. Left side up for debate if OEL plays or not. Brisbois has a shot at bottom pair. |

He has some skill for sure. What you seen last time he was up is pretty much how he is. Hughes and Hronek now I just don't see the need any more for him.
I think Canucks need to find better Myers and OEL and fill the bottom with Briesbois I guess they like Bear also.
One day you will see D Petey and Woo. - VANTEL

It's not whether they will be cap compliant, it's whether they will have some space to be able to do something first. Seravalli saying every GM knows that if you are trying to create cap space that they are going to bend you over the coals. |

Watched him in Kelowna a few times, he plays with fire and loves scoring. he's a little small. In the 1 game against bedard he stepped up and played better than him.
Could also be a bust.

MORE SMURFS! He is putting up some numbers. Hard to ignore. This team doesn't need to value prospects that score anymore though, they need value in being able to play physical and compete at both ends of the ice.
Calum Ritchie or Charlie Stramel. May not be fancy but they are what the team is going to need in the future. Trade down to get one and get back into the 2nd round. |

I think if they had intent of him being back he would be playing right now.
PA did mention they are hoping to avoid buyouts so I am guessing LTIR.

Honestly when it comes to the cap I think you have a good group watching over it. Trading and drafting I have a lot less confidence.

Miller, “This wasn’t too fun of a place to be in the beginning & mid-part of the year. It was a bit of a poop show…it really was. A lot of distraction. I think we’ve moved on, we understand who we’re going to be moving forward. It’s fun to come to the rink again.” #Canucks
The side show was a lot. Now that TDL is over as well, Boeser mentioned about the noise from it as well. Going to be a lot of uncertainty when the season is over as well. Van media will start the "who's going to be traded" immediately I'm sure. |

I am fully expecting that pick to be gone, if they don't win the lottery slots.
1st time in decades that I have stopped following some of the prospects I would like to see Cauncks draft. I also, think next year's picks and the rest of this year's picks are in play.
Gotta keep up the Canuck tradition of filling in the age-gap. |

Down to the evaluation of where they think the team is at. That Guerin interview I listened to last night was great. Nothing out of the ordinary or even surprising to me about what he said but to hear an NHL GM speak in that manor in which you don't normally get from NHL GMs.
Seravalli did mention that Allvin had praise for his NHL scouting department trades so far. |
