Well Leafers have no idea what basis of the animosity towards the Leafs. Many reasons for varying reasons depending on who is talking. It goes way back for some & other reasons for others.

Now what nobody outside of our fanbase can explain is why Leafers hate any team or especially ours?

I personally don't hate other teams. As a leaf fan I dislike seeing them lose to inferior teams or when they don't show up to play and take an opposing team lightly. Every NHL team has pro hockey players and they are looking to do something every game so the leafs shouldn't take any team lightly.

Now as for other fans, no clue why they hate another team. You're welcome to ask them and see what they say for themselves. Same question in return, what is the obsession with toronto around here?

Just talking hockey buddy. You know that. Getting a perspective that I'm not completely clear on. I don't watch the canucks daily so I have to ask the others who would know more.

That's not a fair assessment. Vancouver has had some solid teams. Sometimes with suspect goalies but a solid team nevertheless. Far better teams to relocate then the Canucks.

Since the Canucks inception, they've played in the finals 3 times.

There are other teams in the league that haven't accomplished it once over the same time frame.

Perhaps they should begin their relocation efforts there.

8 total legit NHL players. That’s why they are one of the worst teams in the league. Again.

Solid teams does not equal relevance. Nobody has ever or will ever truly care about what the Canuck’s do. Just not a market that people care about across Canada or in the US. It’s like Columbus. They had some decent teams but nobody truly cares.

Oh at the moment absolutely. I like Wings prospect more but ya man. Dead things indeed. Difference is Detroit is a storied franchise - Vancouver is just Canada's afterthought

If you grew up on the left coast you’d understand it’s not even the Leafs we really hate, it’s the continual bombardment of everything that is Toronto when it’s sports related. It’s less relevant today as there’s way more choices now but if you’re over 40 you despise the Leafs and every other “Toronto thing” you can think of…media, teams, CBC, etc.

I said it before here but I'll say it again for you.

I think the players are good players but the collection of them all for whatever reason hasn't worked out. It's time to take a different look. Miller, Pettersson, Demko, Hughes all good to great hockey players. On paper this team should AT LEAST be a wild card contender. Like it's current record is one of the best in the league tying the likes of Dallas and Vegas in the last 10.

It's clear they picked a direction though in moving Horvat and then picking up Hronek. It'll give a different look (clearly it has) and make for a re-tool. If I were going to guess, they should contend for at least a wild card spot next year.
