I really think Canucks are going to be very very active this summer. I think we might be in for a few shocks and surprises. You just don't trade two top 40 picks without a plan in place.

I get that he is very good. I have seen him play and all, no question at that level he is in a league of his own. I just think back to Lafrennierre and the hype. The kid will probably be a thirty goal guy a year but as we have all said here we need to fill other areas. We need a stud C and some better D. He would be very exiting for sure but I think the sooner we fill the D and get that center is when we take a very big step.

I also realize I am probably the only person on the planet to make suck a bold or stupid statement.

I would definitely be calling Seattle if they would like to trade Berniers Wright and Fluery.

Almost every year I have been disappointed with the outcome of the draft, so my excitement level about it is a lot lower than most.

Unless they change their style and get rid of the country club, no one they bring in will help. I think they realize it and in the last three weeks have been making good moves.

I don't trust Cammi Granato and the scouts so have to wait and see if Hronek is a smart move also or just another error.

I do think they have a plan but not sure it will be a good plan.

I think FA is pissed and said to his Pres get me in the effin playoffs now.

I am guessing he is a decent second pairing Dman and that is why Det took two top forty picks. I don't think he moves the needle by himself and that is why I think there is more to come.

I think Stevie realizes he is gone before they are competitive. Detroit is better and worse at the same time than the Canucks.

My thoughts are they have Edvinsson & Wallinder coming very soon anyways. The division is very good & they’re not there yet. Need another top 6 C. The added 1st I can see them getting a C probably & maybe another RHD like Pellika or similar. They are waiting on Askarov to be ready.

Seider made him expendable. If Rathbone would have developed properly, he also would have been expendable because Hughes is still the top pairing guy. They wouldn’t have been able to afford Seider’s next contract if they paid Hronek accordingly.

That is a fair comment about getting to bubble level. I think they are aiming past that this summer. I think PA said Friday they would like to win a round or more, it is not just being a playoff team. Good luck.

On Hronek imo is a bonafide top 4 RHD. The 2 high picks bother fans but something had to give in one way or another. His break out ability & 2-way play are exactly what we need. He’s got some pressure to on him to show fans it was worth it. The timing & the quality of this draft will always bother the ‘rebuild dreamers’ lol
