Hello,
I hears/see corsi makes you a good player/team
Nothing like a good hockey conversation without a good useless stat being talked about. |

Who could the #Canucks target as a potential 3C?
@DhaliwalSports
: "Ivan Barbashev, Alex Kerfoot, Oskar Sundqvist, Pius Suter, Tyson Jost & Sam Steel...that's something they're gonna try & do this summer...are they going to have the $?" - manvanfan
I dont get why Kerfoots name keeps popping up, not a good player and pretty sure he hasnt played much center due to that. |

He is the only player with a career CF% above 50 of the whole lost. He has the highest PPG average. No, he hasn't been taking as many face-offs over the years. Sam Steel is the only center with a better win percentage. Wait Suter is .05 percent higher.
I'd say because the options are somewhat limited and he's still the higher end of the bunch. |

Nighty would like me to add for him.
Kerfoot, Jost "gag"
Nighty also says
Not everything in 1 offseason…
Cap out is a big priority. Trade(s) prefer for picks.
Get 1 top 4 D either side best probably is Gavrikov
3C is needed but for 2024/25. Let wingers carry offense til then.
Gavrikov has had a stellar start to his LA career.
LA has been sneaky under the radar all season and getting better.
I would imagine that if he continues that LA will re-sign him as that is one of their biggest needs a LHD. |

I’m not as worried, I’d rather see them focus on D. But there’s better options than Kerfoot either way. Better to go younger and cheaper than bring him in. |

He really does have the Russian market cornered. 38 by my count Russian/Belarussian.
We want Gavrikov but your getting Zadarov instead |

I'd say other but not better options unless your going to go for someone under contract at a higher price point.
With a limited D market, could see Myers 50% retained for a 3rd round pick or so. Use that money and the OEL buyout to get say Severson. Trade Garland or Boeser for M. Pettersson.
Hughes Hronek
Pettersson Severson
That's much better looking than what we started the year out as. |

Leafs fans can’t wait for Kerfoot to be gone. There’s a reason for that.
To your second point, I don’t find the d market to be limited. In fact I’d say there’s better guys this year than the last few UFA off seasons. We just need cap. |

Nighty says
LAK 7.9m for 5 players.
Gavrikov rumoured to test UFA.
4-5/4.75m might do it.
2024/25 UFA C’s a bigger pool to look at.
Also when OEL buyout gains more traction.
D is the priority. PK is woeful still. GAA is the focus.
LA is rumoured to be getting rid of a right hand D or two next season. Free's up more cap space. I'd be worried about giving 4-5 to Gavrikov considering he is Myers bad in Columbus for the last couple season.
Columbus like LA also has far too many righties
Peeke
Gudbranson
Boqvist
Blankenburg
Jiricek
Bjork

Shall see who makes it to free agency for D first I guess. As I mentioned before just getting 1 would be good in free agency. Graves, Severson, Gavrikov. Trading for another since they have far to many wingers, just look for a team that lacks scoring. |

He's not done
Not on board for Severson guessing cost is too high.
Hughes ???
Gavrikov Hronek
OEL Bear
No answer for Hughes partner yet. Committee?
I would say that Severson going to get the Chariot type deal.
I don't know how you play OEL unless you are tanking again. He was the worst defender in the league this year. |

That I don't know. Not going to have 5 righties and 1 lefty though I'd imagine.
Nighty says
I’ve looked at CBJ righties just cannot get excited about any. Also trading assets depends on the who or what. Jiricek obviously but not a hope lol
Tbh trading for D is hard & expensive so gonna put it on the back burner.
Gotta suffer a lil longer while other aspects are dealt with. Going to be another season of hope & that’ll be the F’s scoring & team D much better. Demko will be back to his old self. RT has his work cut out for him & his coaches need to be a big part of progress.
I think if they planned on suffering for longer, they wouldn't have traded for Hronek. |

Do any of those guys fit the 26 and under that this management team talks about?
Probably not, but why would anyone think they are even trying to fill those age gaps, that they talk about, over and over about.
Go Canucks Go. |
