For the past month, or more, they seem to be stuck in that seventh last spot. I don’t think they’ve moved up or down much from there. Given that, with 20 games to go, a sixth to eighth last finish is most likely. Followed by a lottery win. - LeftCoaster
Do you believe they will have a 1st round pick? |

I think they will try a centre who is in the 23-26 range, maybe someone like Joe Veleno, Anderson-Dolan or Cody Glass.
Also, you mentioned earlier about cost, which Haula will be more expensive than some players that could start to grow into that position.
I can't say I have ever seen Haula at centre. - Reubenkincade
6300 career face offs from the wing is shocking then. |

Lack of talent and lack of structure. After Pettersson, Hughes, Miller & Kuzmenko there’s a huge drop off in talent and there’s nothing in the pipelines from years of poor drafting or trading talented guys, like Jared McCann, for quick fixes. |

That's normal for every team except for Boston this year. |

I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that as I’m not just talking high-end offensive talent, I’m talking about middle six and depth guys who can contribute defensively and defencemen who can contribute defensively. Not to mention outside of Demko their goaltending is AHL caliber. They don’t even have a plausible NHL backup. |

As Stevie Y said back in November every GM is looking to find goaltending this year.
Van would look better if they had Pearson and Mikky in the line up still. As those two are 2 of the more defensively responsible forwards they have. Sadly.
Far too many forwards that are offensive only, picking up Kratsov although cheap was kind of a waste as well.
Clearly the scouting staff is too dumb to not pick the shiny PP wingers in the draft as well. |

What a female dog move by dude at the end there. Intentionally stepped on guys phone then knocks it away.
I hate that kind of crap. |

I have liked Beauvillier since his days in junior, he is a nice depth scoring player, with some nice speed, skill and puck pursuit. |

I remember him at center in Minny and Vegas mostly, I also remember him doing a lot of Petey Miller where one takes face-off then switches to winger. Pretty sure that's what he's doing in NJ this year when playing with Hughes. |

You're response leads me to believe you are that little female dog in the video then.
I guess I should apologize to your dumbass for having respect and morals instead of being a little female dog like you. |

Ah, okay, probably why I never seen him being a true centre. Then again, I never thought Pouty would be a centre, but he is starting to put it all together at that position. |

I would say the reason for the team signing Mikky was that reason. After Hog and Pod went down the team really lost that type of game from the forward group.
Garland, Boeser, kuzmenko don't exactly do it all too often. Petey and Miller not either.
It would be nice if they could get rid of Garland and Boeser and find a better power forward to round out the top 6 for next season. |

I can't say if Haula was a good center or not. That part I don't remember, he's probably but better serviced on the wing like Miller
Even though I feel as if Miller is making strides at center as well. |
