I would say the reason for the team signing Mikky was that reason. After Hog and Pod went down the team really lost that type of game from the forward group.
Garland, Boeser, kuzmenko don't exactly do it all too often. Petey and Miller not either.
It would be nice if they could get rid of Garland and Boeser and find a better power forward to round out the top 6 for next season. - manvanfan
Agreed.
Was hoping Podkolzin might be ready to fill that need, but he may be another couple seasons away from that role. |

I’m hoping we get a top 5 draft pick and that kid is nhl ready. And then sign/trade for some actual toughness on Fwd. Then if we can move Myers+Garland+Boeser for a top 4 D man and cap space.
This team is much too soft to play against. Last game when the team got pulled into a hitting, physical game… they respond well. It seems like Miller responds well to physical games.

He has that "puck pursuit" according to Tocchet but he does look like he's probably a couple years from doing that with all the rest that comes from a top 6 role. Maybe blossoms like Nuchushkin later on.
I'm a bit surprised he hasn't been tested more on the PK. His game suits it. |

Bertuzzi might be someone.
Jost might be available. I'd see if 3lc between some vets might help him. |

I would think he gets a PK role, or at least a tryout, some time over the next year or so.
This Bloom kid that they just traded for, seems to have some of the attributes that are much needed in this organization.
Hopefully he can become a player. |

That's for sure. Decent skater for one
I believe he is eligible to go back to the OHL next season due to his June bday. Might be a good idea not for his overall game but offensive game for him to continue in junior. There isn't a real rush either. |

I can't remember what the rules are for years spent in CHL, but he has 4 years, 3 if not counting that 1 season, which I believe makes him eligible for the AHL.

I have liked Beauvillier since his days in junior, he is a nice depth scoring player, with some nice speed, skill and puck pursuit. - Reubenkincade
Also good trade bait to improve in other area's.

Do you believe they will have a 1st round pick? - Reubenkincade
I don't think they have an issue trading it.

You're response leads me to believe you are that little female dog in the video then.
I guess I should apologize to your dumbass for having respect and morals instead of being a little female dog like you. - manvanfan

Or, hear me out, he has a career year playing with Petey so they extend him for way more money and tie up their cap even worse |

I don't believe the CHL has a years thing, NCAA does. Bains played 5 seasons. From my understanding as long as you don't turn 20 before the calendar year that you can come back for your "20 year old" season.
Wouters same thing played 5 full years. |

1 has to go for sure for cap reasons.
Scandella and the lowest of the 3 1st round picks STL has for Boeser.
STL needs scoring on the wings and does not have a lot of interest in rebuilding.
or
Fabbro and Nsh 3rd for Garland |

Seravalli on Hronek's next contract:
That number starts with a 7 all day long. 100%...I think you can make an argument it starts with an 8. I don't think it gets that high. He's in the Morgan Rielly range.
Seravalli said he would bet his house on him getting a contract that starts with a 7.
There it is, no wonder Stevie Y traded him. |

Another young NHL D for sure. I saw Fabbro quite a bit with the Vee's. |

The CHL NHL Transfer Agreement requires all draft picks under the age of 20 to be loaned back to their major junior club unless they are on the NHL roster or have completed four full junior hockey seasons. |

Very smart. Trade a potential cost-controlled D man, for one you'll have to up huge in a couple seasons. Good thing they have all that cap flexibility

I'd say that 2nd pairing D aren't worth 7M a season but comparables show at least that on a longer term deal.
Wow does van need to start developing defenders, those mofo's are expensive. |
