Pretty much what many others have said adding in it was a PO push right from training camp. Mgmt gambled then & now. The next contract will be judged harshly if not a good one. 7m? I don’t quite see that or yet. If it is then Hronek has played well here. Myers & OEL will then be gone is a certainty.
The best scenario is RT & company get this team structured & bought in to come outta the gate next year & sustain it. Kids find a new level & lines gel. Demko plays his elite game. The D becomes better by just not being so horrible & break outs improve. The PK is obvious.
In all of that Hronek just fits in & plays as expected as advertised. If all the others drag the team up it might mitigate Hronek’s next cap hit to more team friendly. Hughes contract will be what the Canucks will argue & Hronek won’t get that unless he is as good or better.

Finds his scoring which I believe he will & gets back 25+ a season he’s worth 5.5-6m max. He has to add to his scoring on the details. He’s had a very tough time with dad & his wrist injury. Teams want to lowball but not happening. His value has improved & should continue. Not the time to trade him unless a team sees all of the above & a fair offer.

He’s not true top pairing material.
He is the type of D suitable for QH. My problem is not much out there & if there was then very expensive. Trading for 1 will be huge assets we cannot afford even if we have them & a RHD becomes available.
