Tampa is showing they are slowing down this year. I mean you can't take them easy but I think the leafs will sweep them. I really do! - Aaron_85
Good money on that if you bet & win. |

Only takes a lil Vasi-lene lol - Nighthawk
Lol I’d call it Vasi-Lean, because they lean on him to be a super hero at times. |

At least if the Leafs get eliminated in late April, the Blue Jays will be playing and they look good this year. |

He had his stuff working last year, good movement…. Just couldn’t locate.
I think the pitch clock will help him, he won’t have the time to overthink things if the zone is getting squeezed. |

Truthfully, the Canucks are kinda mirroring what the Islanders are doing. Last year they traded their first round pick (13th OA) to Montreal for Romanov. This year again they traded their first round pick for Horvat, whether I think it’s right or not they’re trying to support the players they have to get into the playoffs.
The Kings same thing, last year they traded their first round pick (19th OA) to Minny for Fiala and then this year they again traded their first round pick for Gavrikov and Joonas Korpisalo. They’re also trying to support the players they’ve collected recently and their veterans.
The Senators, yet again, same thing, they traded the 7th OA and their second rounder last year to get DeBrincat. They traded their first again this year to get Jakob Chychrun. Another example of trying to support their roster players for immediate help by acquiring a young but established player.
I’m not campaigning for or against what they’re doing, the Canucks, I’m just saying it’s not out of line and it’s also not unexpected. Luckily they still have their own first round pick. - LeftCoaster
For some stupid reason, I am backbreaking, then ran across this comment right away.
Comparing the Islanders and the Red Wings to the Canucks is like comparing apples to oranges.
1st off the Islanders have a solid defense group and badly needed a top centre, although the defense group of the Islanders combined, aren't nearly as great as Super Hughes, they are a more than above average group of defenders, who are more than capable of providing shutdown and offense pairings.
As far as centre goes, they badly needed a top centre, capable of providing offense, winning draws and providing some defense.
This is a team that is 2 years removed from consecutive conference finals, the Canucks are 12 years removed from being signicant.
The Red Wings on the other hand, chose to re-sign a similar as Bo Horvat and has young players of their own, who are just starting to be able to handle roles that they are given, all while being able to dump players like Bertuzzi and Hronek, so said players can move into those roles, by the departed players that they got massive returns for.
I won't get into the LA thing, as that should be self-explanatory.

I'll take your word for it. I know little about that stuff in baseball but it's fun watching. |

Two shorties
I put ten on a Canuck win and 10 on over 6.5 goals so I am going to win one way or the other. |
