Are you saying you were interest in Seider that year? - manvanfan
Both Vantel and I were very high on him. Don't be afraid to go back and have a look.
BTW, both Vantel and I were 2 of the very few that were fine with the Podkolzin pick, as Seider was already gone. |

I already went past a comment you made on Seider that year.
I also see 2019 is when I got rid of cable.

Lavoie, Leason or Afanasyev at 40, would be fine by me.
Not to worried about the Pod pick, as he is a solid safe pick, that should be able to play top 6 when he finally arrives.

It's all selective memory, it only matters if it was correct in hindsight and it only matters if it was me. |

This will turn out to be a very middling to poor pick as time progresses. Now, if the Canucks had the likes of Darryl Plandowski & Ryan Jankowski as their Director and Associate Director of amateur scouting they probably would’ve went in a different direction. |

"There’s still a decent chance Miller is part of the Canucks’ opening night lineup next fall, but I also believe management will keep listening prior to July 1, just in case. Miller hasn’t been promised anything either way." |

Since it's been mandated I give props now because I have to care more about other peoples feelings.
You were interested in Seider. (in trade down scenario) but still. Only DCT and Northnuck actually wanted him at 10th.

And years later, when we were still without a top 4 RHD, we traded for his less talented teammate |

Just read that there, hopefully those seeds come to fruition and they're able to clear Miller and use those assets to trade for a younger C.
Interesting Schmaltz is also on there. Seems like he'd be a good right-handed 2C option behind Petey. Just turned 27, 5.8 mil for the next 3 seasons... Canucks love trading with Arizona |

Trade down for Seider
At the draft you were very saddened when Detroit took him though. |

Don’t hold your breath waiting, you won’t live very long. Nice kid, some talent, hard working, but a bottom sixer all day long. He’s a different version of 13th overall Zack Kassian, without the alcohol and drug abuse, except he can’t fight worth a lick, which Kassian can and it helps keep him in the league. |

But we didn’t use our own pick, it came from a pending UFA and it’ll probably be in the #20 range…all good.
Bo Horvat, a pending UFA who wanted 8+ million a year, and a second round pick for Hronek, Beauvillier and Raty…that’s a great trade for the Canucks organization. |

Is Hronek that injured player that Detroit couldn't wait to off load? |

Minor shoulder issue, but you keep up the drama queen act, someone may fall for it. |
