Interesting stuff from Serevalli yesterday about Arizona. He says there will be a referendum about the new arena and the very real possibility of relocation to Huston.
He says owners are pissed at the franchise and at Gary for saving them so long now and being a burden on the league. He says player hate playing for that team.
He also mentioned there will be talks at the GM meetings next week about issues like LTIR and cap. He says one of the big topics they will be having is about the time frame a player can sit out with a potential upcoming trade involved. - VANTEL

I'd have Benning ahead of Harry Neale at #6.
Solid Hockey man.
Keenen last where he should be.

When has Lefty ever been right?
This franchise has had about seven good years out of fifty plus years. Trying to pick the worst era is like asking which STD you like better. They just keep adding to the pile of crap and the mountain continues to grow.
There is so much I dislike with this new group and their year in office that compares to a lot of what Benning did. I do like a couple of minor things also like Kavstov and the fourth line.
I would be surprised if Canucks keep their draft pick sitting in 12 to 14 spot. |

I forget who said that, but that was crazy funny then and even funnier now.
This guzzler crew is shameless. |

You can adjust. Not sure what it involves but I believe amendments have been made in the past.

Almost sounded like Pearson and his agent might be taking Canucks to court, for the complete mishandling of this injury.
Just another, in what is starting to become a long list of problems, create by this management group. |

I doubt the GMs approve any adjustment to LTIR seeing it helps them with their mistakes.
I think the player sitting out will get some tweaks.
The Arizona situation will be made in a couple of weeks if they get the new arena and location settled. It sounds like it might be finally over for them.

Remember when media and fans were blowing up on Management for mishandling him? Several more operations, 5 already tells me they handled it fine by putting him on LTIR and not bring him back to permanently cripple that hand. |

If it is contractual, both sides have to agree to it, if it is a policy change, then the league can implement said policy. |

He is getting paid. I am not sure it is worth the effort. They would have to go through a lot to prove there was incompetence unless they got a judge who was a Canuck fan.

I don't believe the GM's have a say on league policy decisions, that would be the teams board of directors chairperson. |

Yeah but I think that happens immediately after the GM and owners meeting. The GMs initiate the topics I believe and if it is approved it goes to the higher level.

But what wasn't exactly is what I don't know. Did their doctors misdiagnose the injury? Did they have him start rehab too soon? Neither of these are on Management, unless you are ignorant and says 'Well they hire the doctors, so any problems the doctors have are all Managements fault." They were on record stating that players trust the doctors, and they act based off of doctors recommendations. |
