How do you figure that? - manvanfan
I watched him at young stars. That and his numbers this year remind me of Juolevi for some reason. He’s not very physical either. |

I know very little about the player all I can say is I hope he turns out better than Hobey Baker winner Adam Gaudette.

I would most likely say that his NHL career is most likely finished so he will probably be passed by a few guys.
In the average draft they say about 40 players break the 200 game mark. 2015 was a very good draft.
Still to find someone drafted at 150 to become a top 50 player in a draft is excellent. - manvanfan
You made a comment the other day about Canucks drafting not being as bad as some people make it out to be. I fully agree with that. I look at Demko Petey Hughes Brock as four very good choices whether I like them or not. Even McCann was a good player , just a bad choice for Canucks. Can't argue with the numbers. JV played a few years same as OJ. Both were busts but did provide a little service.
Then the next tier of Briesbois Gaudette Tryamkin . They had a few players I believe to play a couple of games.

Wasn't even a bad choice... stupid trade for EG.... Although there must have been a reason as he has been on a lot of teams in a short career.

I doubt he will be a stay at home physical D.
I could see him turning into something similar to Rasmus Sandin. |

He got along with no one at the beginning. He was a bit arrogant at the draft and I don't think his teammates liked him very much. He figured it out eventually.

It's really only Lefty that claims the drafting is bad.
I mean if you can separate Benning's drafting from his trading and signing's which most people can't seem too.
Not saying he was the best drafter during that time but at least mid pack but not near as bad as some whiners like to make it out to be. |

Yeah, I've had a few viewings of him. He made my "short, short list" in the forums. Someone to get in the later rounds. Team really needs just some steady D that can move the puck. |

Where is he ranked? I can’t find anything on him. I know Van likes to keep tabs on the teammates of their developing prospects. |

What's your take on Hughes breaking the record for a Dman with 200 assists in 263 games the other night?
Doing it on such a sh!te team as a kid is pretty impressive imo. - dbot
I can honestly say, he’s no Troy Stetcher.

32nd in NA NHL central scouting mid term rankings.
I'd imagine he drops a bit from that ranking. |

On that note…
Ignoring it’s CanuckArmy the very end is what matters. ACCEPTANCE

My thoughts are keep OEL for 1 year examining all options but probably end up him playing 3rd pairing or sitting. Saving 2yrs of a buyout from 8 down to 6 is more likely. 8 is too long to get outta JB’s mess. 6 isn’t pretty but is better imo. Try & use next season to slowly get OEL up to his best level of play. Rest him & give him a training regiment to strengthen his knee & maybe get back his mobility. No downside other than his cap hit which can be eaten in a year where the Canucks are still developing an identity. Even if he plays a lot less we won’t miss him if he becomes depth D only. If he does get into better physical health great. Lastly he could see the writing on the wall & begin contemplating retiring, doubtful, or an MTA, slim chance. - Nighthawk
SO much points to OEL LTIRetiring soon. Another knee injury, who knows how he comes back from it, at his age. Knees(like ankles) accumulate and get worse with each injury until there is nothing left. |

Hmm.
Could have been.
I only remember some hand wringing that he would go rouge and sign with another team.
