Would be great if Tortorella wills this team to play well here down the stretch. A nice #9 overall finish. - StepfordSam

Fletcher booed out of the joint yesterday. The nerve of Steve Coates to chastise paying customers. People who foot the bill for this clown show.
Did Dave Scott have the guts to show his face yesterday?
Why is Fletcher still the GM? I'd like for someone to provide one single reason why this buffoon is still employed. What has he accomplished? - PLindbergh31
Scott was putting the finishing touches on his senior project for his Barberhockey AP class. He has a big presentation in front of the bullies this week |

Coates is nothing but a corporate stooge. Anyone who gets a paycheck from this team I don't take a solitary word they utter seriously. |

I don’t think effort will be an issue, at least most nights. A lot of these guys are playing for a future in this league. - landros 2
Effort has never really been the issue. It has always been talent level. This team just doesn't have the talent and wont for quite a while.
And what talent they do draft, they proceed to develop it right out of them.

Sadly, since Comcast owns the stadium, there is no way they are going to sell the Flyers any time soon. Our only hope is prolonged failure. Something like 5+ consecutive seasons of finishing 12-14 in the conference and 20-25 in the league, no lottery wins, attendance dwindles to only 10k per game, ratings plunge so low that advertising has to be all but given away and merchandising sales hit rock bottom.
If all that happens maybe, just maybe, they fire absolutely everyone and bring in a competent hockey guy to fix the mess.
I’m not holding my breath though. Take a good look at the Cleveland Browns over the last couple of decades, or the Sacramento Kings; that is our likely long term future.
It’s why, after 50+ years of fandom, I’ve pretty much given up on the Philadelphia Flyers. And I doubt I’m the only long time fan who feels this way. |

I’ve gone from apathy to active hate. I now don’t wish good fortune on them as long as these good ole boys are in charge. I feel it would be a travesty for the league and bedard if he were drafted here |

What if the Flyers get lottery lucky and Bedard pulls a Lindros and says “don’t draft me”? |

I see that Fletcher was booed hardily yesterday, and rightly so. I am wondering if anyone actually went to the event and can tell me how it went. |

Bedard is a pipe dream for where the Flyers will probably end up. But even adding a Fantilli or Carlsson to this team with Gauthier coming up, Coots coming back, and the young forwards they do have, Carter and Ersson in net and the decent, not great, defensive group the Flyers have, this can be a good team in a couple of years. Not saying they will be a bonifide cup contender, but a team that can do some damage in the playoffs. It would be a welcome change to what we have had to endure for the past decade. |

I didn’t quite say that lol. I just think this would be one of the worst spots for him. If they win the lottery. It will only extend the tenure of everyone we want gone |

All you folks forget Flyers are the 5th most improved team in the NHL. - hfc355
You can thank the defensive pair of Sanheim-Braun for that. MoneyPuck has them as at #7 for lowest goals against for defensive pairs with at least 300 minutes together.

These are jd250 facts, right? Seems to me a player who can't defend or win puck buttles. Can't drive offense and can't play on the PP. Wouldn't even be in the NHL, right? Sounds very similar to what you said about Frost when you said he was an AHL player.
- MJL
Frost will be off this team by the summer, mark my words. Any team with Frost in their top 6 is NOT a good hockey team. Frost at best can be a 3rd line C, which the Flyers have an abundance of right now. Trots has indicated this pretty clearly recently along with Hayes being gone this summer. Sanheim IMO is not a good defenseman, and really never was, and didn't come close to deserving the contract he got. He should have been traded at this deadline for a 2023 pick. Fletcher as he usually does misread the market and the evaluation of his own players. These are just facts that you refuse to acknowledge because of your dumbfounded allegiance to Hextall.
And speaking of allegiance, I find it humorous that you are so dead set against any of the old Flyers guard being part of the franchise, but somehow Hextall is not included in your wrath ... hmmm .. kind of strange if you think about it. I guess some ex-Flyer players are OK while others are not. |

This cracks me up. Look around at the teams in the division/conf. Flyers forwards are nothing to write home about.
Their d group is below average.
Do damage in the playoffs lol. This team will not make the playoffs in the next 5 season after this one. They will go on a buffalo like streak. |

Outside of getting the # 1 or # 2 pick, are you confident this collection of losers can make the correct selection?
Unless they get Bedard, and to a lesser extent Fantilli it doesn't matter. - PLindbergh31
Carlson would be a great addition. Knowing these goofs, they won't be picking any higher than 6. |

Draft him and pull a Marcel Aubut trade. restock the roster with a modern day Forsberg, Ricci, Duchesene, etc etc and FIRE CHUCK AND THE MINIONS
