Jethro Tull set to release a new single on Good Friday. The song is called "ADC - Age Distribution Charts" - word on the street is the song is heavy with numbers and melodic with lines - corduroy
I'm looking forward to the flute solo.

Tippett is my favorite Flyer. He’s crafty. I think he’s having a strong first full year here. |

Torts will be running everything though. Word on the street is the Flyers are booking a US tour with the opening show in Ian’s birthplace Livermore,CA. Rumor is Torts is telling trusted allies that Ian and his flute will be benched that night. Cates will be taking his place.

The dreaded healthy scratch in his hometown - corduroy
Nothing brings a player into line more. Have to go to the after game dinner with Mom and Dad and explain why you didn't play. It's humiliating. Have to stop Mom from calling the coach and asking why her baby didn't play. |

For sure, the kid is not ready. He easily needs another year.
But if a kid is even somewhat close and plays a position of immediate need, this team seems to err on the side of developing them in the NHL: Farabee, Provy, Coots, Sbisa, Patrick, TK, etc.
IIRC how miffed they were that JVR chose to go back for his sophomore year when they needed him right away. - Tomahawk
If they are truly rebuilding, they encourage Gauthier to go back to school for another year. Who really knows though, right. Everything is 50/50 now…little certainty. It’s more reassuring and interesting to watch paint dry then follow along with the “plan” right now.

At least with paint drying there is a well thought out plan and goal. Have to start with small and attainable goals in life. Maybe that's what the Flyers front office should do. Start with paint drying and see if they accomplish that. Put some paint on a surface and then watch it to see if it dries. Baby steps.

I only watch because I like hockey and will watch whatever is on. Plus I have a morbid curiosity to see what happens. - MBFlyerfan
I normally am the same but I’ve just had enough of the losing and mismanagement. I can’t even motivate myself to watch now even though I have centre ice. I do watch some of the other teams a bit as I too just love the game.
I just can’t believe it’s gotten this bad that not only do we suck, there’s zero light at the end of the tunnel for this once great franchise |

if he turns Pro, he can go to LHV, correct? Is he also waiver exempt for the length of his entry level?

Waivers is based on how old the player was when he signed his ELC and pro games played. If a player is 19 when he signs his ELC, he is exempt from waivers for 160 pro games or 4 years. If he is 20 when he signs his ELC, then it's 160 games and 3 years. It changes depending on the age of the player. It is also different for goalies
Gautheir is a college player so he can play for the Phantoms at 19 I believe. |

Or it just brings on the apathy.
Mom, “ you got the contract, just force a trade in the offseason, this place is full of bums anyway” |

If he stays at school, his development path is safer. If he goes pro and to the Phantoms, bigger chance he gets rushed and brought up too much too soon.

I would agree. The longer he can develop in a different organization away from the Flyers. The better is will be.

The other thing to consider is BC is having a down year this season. Next season they should have a stronger team with the addition of some good prospects like Will Smith, is the 4th highest rated center in the draft. I think its better for Gauthier to play a season with Smith and in general for a better team before turning pro. |

I tend to agree, but Michigan is probably the best team in college hockey. BC is no where near that level. If there is now a true rebuild, it makes even more sense to leave him in college. On a somewhat related note, this upcoming draft should also have long term vision. Assuming Flyers not selecting in top 5, Michkov on the board, the selection should be easy. - Trox88
I don't know .. don't mean to sound prejudice but I would stay away from Russian players given the current political climate. At this rate Michkov may never come over. I would love the see the Flyers finish in the 6th spot, because it may be possible to trade up from that spot to get one of the top 3 centers in the draft, which should be the Flyers priority. |

With that win last night against the Red Wings, do the Flyers still have the 5th highest increase in win % compared to last year in the league? Fletcher? Fletcher? |

I have two questions for you. How are the top 3 centers in the draft rated in terms of potential? What would the Flyers trade to move up into one of the top3 spots?

Do you think the 5th highest increase in wins is going to get Torts the Jack Adams award?

This is the kind of poop they probably have the analytics dept. working on. I can totally see a meeting where the bums are saying “Just give us anything positive we can tell the fans.” |
