my cousin casey has chickens. they're cool to go look at back there sometimes. weird little guys. at least one lays pastel colored eggs, which must be handy around easter.

birds might not be as dumb as their tiny brains led us to believe. i recently realized that some of these geese that come to our courtyards every day are the same geese. there's one that has something caught around its neck and i noticed he's been here almost every day for a week. i don't know where they go at night but they're smart enough to go right back where they came from during the day.
