That’s an awful plan.
Again letting college UFAs hold your team hostage is very infuriating. - ImThatGuy
I don't disagree with you at all.
He would have to return to college for one more season though for him to be a UFA college player.
I think they get him signed, and move UPL and something else for an upgrade in net for the next couple years.

Fwiw I texted someone that you could call a “source” about the line of thinking in this clip. The response:

How's he holding us hostage?
Its looked like UPL and Comrie next year since we signed Comrie.
IF Levi can come in and push for a spot quicker than expected then awesome.

Falcons are giving guard Chris Lindstrom a a five-year, $105 million contract extension, per source.
They just paid a guard $20 million a year...

Don't know how true this, but if it is. Can't see Beane doing that. - Buff36
I too am looking for $20 million a year
I know I won't get it!
I don't see him getting that much coming off an ACL injury, missing a full season, and having an interesting to say the least personal issues of getting thrown off a plane amongst other things.

No line rushes, just special teams work. Tuch and Dahlin are working on the first power play group. Victor Olofsson not working with either power play unit.
Maybe both are good to go for tomorrow? |

Adams, the GM that preaches he wants players who want to be here, then mismanage those players team to accommodate players who don't want to be here.

Asplund wanted out because he wasn’t playing.
Bjork wanted out.
Bloom wanted out.
Portillo wanted out.
That’s 4 this year alone.
Granted none of those guys are difference makers (yet).
It’s something to keep an eye on. |

This rule and the college FA rule if they stay 4 years ruins prospects imo. Those rules need do be fixed. - Fattony1187
This will never change. The NCAA and CHL are businesses too. Why would they agree to changes that will hurt their businesses? |

Bjork was never going to get called back up here again.
Bloom probably sees our prospect pool and thinks damn how do I crack that.
Asplund not used... correctly
Portillo has 2 better goalies ahead of him
Teams about to be stacked with first round picks. Not crazy for those guys to want to have better chances to play somewhere else. |

You would also hope they'd have an alternate plan if the team showed they were further along and better then they had expected this season, but here we are... |

It's all well and good for now becasue those players are assumed not to make the NHL, what happens when you have 5 1st round picks that cant crack the lineup? Value plunges and other GM's pick them up for scraps (all of those players were given away). Be careful saying turtle pace GMKA is handling this well and the future is bright. There will be a small window where the perceived value of these picks and players will hold water, after that, useless. |

Agree. It is a pretty rare occurrence for a goalie to make that jump so soon. Stripes listed a few great goalies that still needed a year in the AHL.
So we need to punt on next year because we don’t want to hurt Levi’s feelings?
If that’s the case, you bring in a starter and Levi, UPL, Comrie compete for the 1b job.
I know I am the furthest thing from a hockey talent evaluator, but man hanging the close of this season and next on a college goalie?!? Man that seems like a plan with a very low chance of success. |
