I'm a KA defender, so I've reasoned out the lack of moves.

Is it better to get in and smashed? Is that really a positive step for next season? From a Sabres perspective.

Yes it is in my opinion. It is worth making every effort ti get in to get smashed. First because it teaches players to work like dogs towards a singular goal; it also builds the team and finally because there is no guarantee that you will be smashed. Matter of fact there is no guarantee that you will lose that first round. Ask Tampa Bay if they thought they would lose the first round a couple of years ago. The effort alive in trying to get there is worth it but being there is certainly worth it, in my opinion.
